Did You Know...

... that Tent City at Skydive Dubai is much larger than ever before?

Current poll results in 4way Open
posted Nov 28th, 2012 - The NSL News polls for the Mondial 2012 have changed significantly overnight, as the interest and traffic is increasing.

The two top contenders who focus only on one event in the 4way Open category, Arizona Airspeed and NMP-PCH Hayabusa, are in a horse race for the gold medals, while Aerodyne Aerokart, with three reigning 4way world champions, have become the underdog. Hayabusa was even in the lead for a while after Airspeed was in the gold medal position for days.

Current poll results in 8way Open
It is a similar situation in 8way where the voting audience has not given the French reigning 8way world champions much of a chance to win the gold medals. Sky Panthers Barkli has even taken the top spot after a strong Russian vote in the last 24 hours. The Golden Knights are in 2nd place at the moment.

The same strong Russian vote could not move the female lineup of the Golden Knights from the top position. It was still powerful enough to move Illusions in the 2nd place, and the Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders share the bronze medal position with the French 8way and 4way team. Team4speed still saves the French gold medal honors in VFS 4way.

The weather conditions have not allowed any training jumps on Wednesday so far. The NSL Reality TV camera had enough time to capture other activities with a walk across Tent City.

It takes much more walking distance than ever before to visit the homes of all delegations. Tent City is also not a proper name any longer for the accommodation at Skydive Dubai's dropzone. Each delegation has a structure available with air condition, rest areas, beds, couches and storing space. This is only one way to show the difference to any other previous skydiving events. The Mondial 2012 is taking place on a completely different level of magnitude, which will hopefully show more and better in the course of this NSL News live coverage.

New and unseen yet: Cleaning team for the creeper pad
Today's first NSL Reality TV clip began in the morning with the bus shuttle to the DZ. This time, the daylight provided a much better impression of the short trip from downtown to the beach. It ended with a unique entry into the competition site on the Palm Jumeira Island.

There were two other passengers in the bus, and they were members of the 4way team from Equador. The South American country has sent a 4way team to a world meet for the first time, and the skydiving community is growing in the civilian and the police and military area.

The walk through Tent City includes several stops for video shots of all kind of activities, while teams and competitors were on the ground. Several teams have not made their official training jump yet, and there is still a lot of daylight left in the afternoon. Stay tuned...
