Did You Know...

... that the horse race between Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders and Golden Knights is over?

Fun jump for the Belgian delegation
posted Aug 30th, 2012 - The three female 4way teams at the World Cup 2012 have been ranked on two different leaderboards since the Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders competed in the Open Class for France. The NSL News has shown all three teams on a separate leaderboard to compare apples with apples in the race to Dubai.

This race is over in Prostejov now, and the Golden Knights turned the battle around in the very last minute. The 1-point lead for France lasted only for a few hours before the US team finished in 1st place after a great Round 10.

The Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders had a bad exit in Round 10, as the video shows. The Cataccord broke into two pieces and needed repair that took a few seconds. This was probably enough loss of time to swing the 1-point lead right out the door. In addition came a point deduction for an incomplete Cataccord later on, and the damage was complete.

Round 10 viewing on DZ-TV
It was an interesting competition in the female 4way category, as the momentum went back and forth between Golden Knights and Defenders. It seemed like France had the advantage after winning Round 7 and Round 8 yesterday and then starting the day with another 2-point win over the Golden Knights in Round 9. Round 10 then turned it around again. What a meet...

The NSL News met with both teams after their last competition jumps, and the videos of the new NSL Talk will follow later. The Golden Knights were done much earlier, as Golden Knights and Polaris made their jumps at the beginning of each turnaround today. The NSL Talk with the Golden Knights took place before the French team had landed from Round 10.

No surprises in the Open Class where NMP-PCH Hayabusa copied the 26.1 average of the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012. The whole Belgian delegation made a few fun jumps after the end of the competition, as did Polaris together with the Defenders. The NSL News has scheduled a meeting with Hayabusa for later on.
