posted May 12th, 2012 - The first scores of the weekend are posted, and they come from the United Kingdom where twelve 4way teams opened the 2012 outdoor season in Peterlee.

Kryos was the only team in the AAA Class competition and started the 2012 outdoor season almost on the same scoring level as last year. There was a significant difference though, as Kryos has stepped up from the AA Class and is dealing with the IPC Open Class dive pool now.

Kryos competed in the AAA Class for the first time at the World Challenge 2012 where five of the ten rounds had slot switchers, either in the front or in the rear piece. This weekend's six rounds included only one slot switcher for the Kryos rear piece in Round 1.

Three other teams had also posted their first scores at the World Challenge 2012. One of them was the AA Class winner at Bodyflight Bedford, and Hyrrokkin confirmed the top position this weekend in Peterlee. The NSL News had introduced the team after the World Challenge 2012 on 13 April 2012.

The 9.3 average is a good start into the 2012 outdoor season, and Hyrrokkin now has to work the team's way up to the UK medal level in this category. Gr4vity won the AA Class bronze medals last year with a 12.3 average, and the winning team Full Stop posted a 16.1 average after eight rounds.

There is more than enough time, the UK Nationals 2012 is scheduled for the beginning of August.

There was actually more competition for Hyrrokkin than the total after six rounds shows on the leaderboard. UK's A Class champion of 2011, High Altitude Heroes, has moved up into the AA Class and was only six points behind after four rounds this weekend. The two zeros in Rounds 5 and 6 make it look different.

Fiasco was a Rookie Class team in 2011 and then had this exciting battle for the first place with the Blue Rebels Family from Greece in the same category at the World Challenge 2012. The UK team has now moved up into the A Class competition and had a new battle for the 2nd place with the RAFSPA Venom lineup.

The outdoor winner this weekend, Anti Gravity Ninja Swans, had competed in the same category at the World Challenge. The next UKSL meet is scheduled for the June 9 weekend in Langar.
