Did You Know...

... that XL had a power failure in Round 2?

Power failure in Round 2: XL
posted Feb 4th, 2012 - Arizona Airspeed is making a statement so far at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championships 2012.

The 4way teams are done for today, the remaining two rounds are scheduled for tomorrow morning. Airspeed has a 20-point lead in 1st place over XL, who is the strongest opponent in Raeford this weekend. The USPA 2012 champion has won each single round so far and delivers a very strong performance. It might be a message to France and Belgium before the Shamrock Showdown 2012...

The Golden Knights Gold, with the same lineup of the USPA Nationals 2011, are further ahead of SDC Rhythm XP than in November last year. Rhythm is at the very beginning of the training with Chris Farina and is working on finding the team rhythm. The team of the day is still the Golden Knights Black lineup performing on a completely different and very impressive level.

Reigning VSF 4way champion from France at Paraclete
The incident of the day is the first re-flight that the NSL News has on record in the history of indoor competition. XL had a power failure in Round 2 after 29 seconds. It was not a lack of XL power in this round, it was a real power failure of the facilities that lasted for several seconds and long enough to see the XL members tumbling to the safety grid.

XL had a great round going, and the team was not really over excited having to go and do it again. The re-flight was okay but not as sharp as the first one, the XL members mentioned later.

The video of Round 2 includes Round 1 performances of the VFS 4way teams. The two best teams in the world, reigning world champion Four Speed XP from France and US champion SDC Standard XP, displayed the best of the best in their 4way category. Seven teams are competing for the total of $7,000 in this jackpot. The traditional 4way teams can also win $4,000 - $2,000 - $1,000 for the first three places.
