Did You Know...

... that new NSL-TV videos feature three teams from thre different countries?

posted Jun 21st, 2006 - The leaderboard of last weekend's competition is now complete. It was an extraordinary weekend since none of the eight meets was weathered out. The event sites were spread all over the US east coast, from Florida to New England, and also took place at three locations in Europe. Weather was still not a factor.

42 teams completed up to ten rounds (Sweden, Netherlands), and only the Rookie Class teams of the Carolina Skydiving League were finished after four rounds, which is normal CASL procedure.

The first meet stories have already been posted, while teams and league directors also provided some video footage in the meantime. The first featured NSL-TV meet video goes back to the June 10 meet weekend when Great Britain's first Grand Prix event of the 2006 season took place in Langar.

The NSL News story on June 13 provided the meet story, which included the tight competition in the A Class competition. Two UK teams, Escondido and 4-Fit, battled it out over the six rounds and ended up tied in 1st place. The meet video features the winning jump of this competition, which was the highest score in the last round.

The other two meet videos already bring last weekend's events to the on-line audience. The AA/Intermediate Class team on the top of the leaderboard, Cross Keys Air Pollution, is featured with the team's round three. The 9-pointer was tied by FSC Wind Damaged (FSL) and Crazy Ivan & the Crew (CASL). Cross Keys Air Pollution won the first place in the AA/Intermediate Class by six points with a 9.7 meet average.

Last not least, the first meet video from the Netherlands features the Dutch national team in the female category, Team Infinity, with the highest score that a women's team in the Netherlands has posted to date. The 17-pointer in round five of last weekend's competition supported the 11.8 meet average for Infinity.
