posted Aug 15th, 2010 - The record participation at the UK Nationals 2010, with the re-match between Satori and Team Bodyflight after the first UK showdown at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010, has been dominating the NSL Leaderboard this weekend.

However, there is another leaderboard of the same weekend that offers additional scores. The UK Nationals 2010 had its own competition draw, which was celebrated live before the beginning of the meet and done manually.

The usual NSL competition draw for the weekend brought together the teams from Norway, Brazil and the Midwest Skydiving League. This leaderboard is not complete yet, as the scores from Norway are not all posted yet. SDC Rhythm XP has finished the 6-round meet at Chicagoland Skydiving with a very impressive 21.2 average, which will most likely remain on the top of the AAA Class rankings, unless the DeLand Norgies were able to pull something out of the hat after the first two rounds.

It would have been interesting to compare the scores of the UK top teams directly with Rhythm's numbers.

All three teams had attended the World Challenge 2010 where they finished very close to each other (Satori 9th 263 - Rhythm 10th 253 - Bodyflight 12th 246).

SDC Rhythm XP posted the highest scores this weekend, with a 21.2 average after six rounds.

Satori finished with a 20.7 average after ten rounds, Team Bodyflight won the silver medals in the United Kingdom with an 18.8 average.

However, both events had different competition draws, and the scores cannot be compared directly.

SDC Rhythm XP at the Midway Battle 2010

The Rhythm scores brought back thoughts of the team's previous outdoor meets. This weekend's 21.2 average was the second time that Rhythm's new 2010 lineup broke the 20.0 average benchmark this year. The 21.6 average at the Midway Battle in June was the first time that Rhythm did just that.

NSL-TV found the Rhythm videos of the Midway Battle, and the new videos of this weekend's meet will hopefully follow soon. The total number of eleven rounds between the June meet and this weekend included 20 blocks and 18 random formations.

SDC Rhythm XP also attended a 10-round meet of the Midwest Skydiving League in June. All 21 scores at the last three outdoor meets make it a 20.8 average. It seems like the Midwest team has left the 20.0 benchmark behind and is heading straight towards the 21.0 average.
