Did You Know...

... that Team Orlando won at iFLY Seattle with a 21.3 average?

ICL event at iFLY Orlando
posted Dec 11th, 2016 - The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on November 12th that a team with Indoor Cloud League and Florida Skydiving League competitors from Orlando would travel to Seattle in December to compete at the IBA Indoor Skydiving Competition .

Yvonne Saa, Leslie Eggenberger, Sebastian Jimenez and Jimmy Xu followed up on the plans and completed their ten rounds of 4-way indoor competition on Friday evening.

The Orlando Team signed up for IBA's A/Intermediate Class competition, which uses an indoor dive pool that can also be trained at iFLY Orlando with its 12-foot flying chamber. Even IBA's A Class dive pool and Friday's competition draw still included two sequences with Block 4 (Monopod - Monopod) which requires more space than iFLY Orlando can offer. IBA's AA/Advanced Class dive pool and sequences for the Seattle competition included several blocks that cannot be trained in Orlando.

IBA competition at iFLY Seattle
One team had registered for the Rookie Class and the other three teams for the A Class competition. The Seattle Airhawks eventually moved up into the AA Class competition, which did not have any opposing teams at all in this category. Team Orlando still had at least one other team on the A Class leaderboard.

Team Orlando had the opportunity in Seattle to perform the 12+ dive pool, plus Block 4, in a larger chamber and took full advantage of the situation with a 21.3 average.

The lineup was only put together for this indoor competition. USPA Intermediate Class champion Jimmy Xu (Zhills PreciZion) is now done with this category and will move on with the AAA Class dive pool and a new team. Yvonne Saa, Leslie Eggenberger and Sebastian Jimenez were using the Seattly opportunity to discuss their own team plans for 2017...
