posted Nov 14th, 2016 - The Sun Path Products NSL News mentioned with Saturday's Indoor Cloud League update from iFLY Orlando that the 4-way teams of the Czech Republic came together at the Hurricane Factory on Wednesday last week to launch their indoor winter season with the first 10-round meet.

As usual, the indoor meets in the Czech Republic also include the 4-way juniors, who cannot appear on the outdoor leaderboards. However, the names of at least two Czech junior teams are well known by now, as they have also competed at international events where the rest of the 4-way competition world attended.

HF Junior Cubs and HF Junior Flies both competed at the World Challenge 2016, where they shared the A Class leaderboard with adult teams from ten different nations. Then both teams competed in the 4-way Junior competition of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2016 where the teams apply the AA Class dive pool.

13 teams competed at the indoor winter season opener at the Hurricane Factory last week, which are three more teams than last year at the first ETL meet in November.

The field included two more junior teams. HF Junior Blue had competed several times for the Hurricane Factory at the Indoor Cloud League events before attending the team's first 10-round meet in the Rookie Class at the Czech Indoor Nationals 2016. HF Junior Blue has now moved up into the A Class and finished last week with a 7.8 average.

Jan Klapka, godfather of 4-way competition in the Czech Republic, has now introduced the next and even younger generation of 4-way competitors. HF Junior Green participated only once so far at the Indoor Cloud League events before completing the 10-round competition last week. The meet videos are showing that a Bad Boys member was helping the team in the flying chamber.

Five of the nine adult teams at the Hurricane Factory competed in the AAA Class, which is new record participation in this category. The highest number of AAA Class teams at the Sportflight indoor events has been three, including Bad Boys and CZ Ladies, the two Czech national 4-way teams.

HF Flying Circus, with Klapka son Jakub in the lineup, have caught up with the CZ Ladies at their first AAA Class competition. Jakub Klapka is now challenging his mother, Jirina Klapkova, who trains and competes with the CZ Ladies. Father Jan Klapka was still on the Bad Boys bench after his shoulder injury.

The HF Chicks are back with their original team name and an all-female lineup. Three HF Chicks trained and competed with Michal Armai in the lineup for a while under Michals Chicks. Original members Eva Vokurkova and Jitka Vycpalkova now have 2016 member Klára Eliášová and Hanka Uriková in the lineup. Michal Armai still helped out one more time last week, as Eva Vokurková had to sit out due to back pain.
