posted Jul 17th, 2016 - The first outdoor scores for the very busy meet weekend came from France, where the 4-way teams finished up the Coupe de France event series of the 2016 season.

The national championships at the beginning of August will wrap up the French outdoor competition season.

The French 4-way teams used the same competition draw for the AAA and AA Class that all other teams have been using, as well, and the missing scores will be added to the overall leaderboard as soon as possible.

The team on the top of the AAA Class leaderboard is the national team in 4-way Open who will represent France at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2016 in September.

The competition draw was a great test for in the run-up to the event.

The average competition draw offered everything between a slow 3-block sequence at the very beginning of the 10-round event, five slot-switching sequences and three rounds with one block and three random formations.

Only a Super Sequence was not a part of this weekend's ten rounds.

The French national team in 4-way Open has been considered the top favorite for this year's bronze medals by the audience, as the latest results of the poll were showing on June 14th.

This weekend's 23.7 is the team's record average and may confirm the choice of the audience.

France had a 21.7 average in the books, posted at the FAI World Cup 2015 in Teuge, and the current lineup probably needed a confidence booster after the 20.9 average at the World Air Games 2015.

Mondial 2016 - Bronze Medals in 4-way Open

Who wins 4-way Open Class bronze medals at the Mondial 2016?

Black Cat (Russia)
FLY-IN (France)
Tigers (Qatar)
Satori XL (Great Britain)
20.9 at the World Air Games 2015
Coach Marin Ferre has once again lifted his Open Class team to a significantly higher performance level, and the French delegation may even begin to dream of a serious competition with NMP PCH HayaBusa and Arizona Airspeed in two months.

The French national B-Team was also back this weekend with a new lineup and a new name (Espoir Maubeuge Weembi). Last year's members Pamela Lissajoux and Mathieu Bernier were not available any longer in 2016, when the French Girls needed a new Outside Center and after Jeremie Rollett handed over the reigns as the national coach to Mathieu Bernier, who also trains and competes with the French national 8-way team.

Francois Panont and David Ricard are new in the B-Team, while Aurelien Lemaire and Eliott Lesimple continue on the waiting list for a slot in the national teams. Patrice Kerdudo is still filming the team.
