NSL News Coverage of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024

Did You Know...

... that Blobfish with 4-way junior Kiya Glave still impresses the iFLY Houston audience?

4 Shades of Gray at iFLY Houston
posted Jul 3rd, 2016 - The new Indoor Cloud League sequences for July have been posted with the beginning of the new month, and they bring new blocks to the teams, at least at the participating wind tunnels with 14+foot flying chambers.

At the same time, new scores and videos are still coming in to complete the June leaderboard. iFLY Houston's ICL team is once again the only team with scores on both leaderboards so far, as the 14-foot flying chamber allows the teams to perform all nine sequences every month. Only iFLY Houston's AA Class sequence for the 12-foot leaderboard does not have a score.

iFLY Houston's ICL team had launched the June competition with a total of 94 points for the 12-foot sequences and 109 points on the 14+ leaderboard, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on June 19th. 4 Shades of Gray added one point later last month for the A Class sequence (18 - 19) while Blobfish improved their own scores by two points (19 - 21) at the second ICL June event in Houston.

4 Shades of Gray at the Texas Shootout
4 Shades of Gray had a busy month of June, as the complete lineup also won the AA Class competition at this year's Texas Shootout and finished in 1st place on the weekend's overall AA Class leaderboard.

4 Shades of Gray also posted iFLY Houston's highest score for the AA Class sequence. Katrina Shows reported that a few other Texas lineups had tied the 12-pointer. However, 4 Shades of Gray scored their 12-pointer earlier in the month, and they still represent iFLY Houston for the 14+ sequence in the AA Class, which turned out to be the most contested category.

Katrina Shows said that Blobfish, with 4-way junior Kiya Glave in the lineup, still impresses the audience. She was in the Blobfish lineup as the player coach this time and witnessed father Adrian and daughter Kiya flying together as piece partners.
