4-way flying time at iFLY Seattle
posted Jun 27th, 2016 - iFLY Seattle submitted scores for the June competition of the Indoor Cloud League before teams jumped from air planes at last weekend's three meets. The new outdoor leaderboard will be posted later today.

Deb Correia reported from Seattle that she had four teams participating in the ICL June competition.

Three of the teams turned in the scores for five of the six ICL categories, and the coaches (Djordje Mandaric, Steve Platt, Dmitry Rudchenko, Bill Selig) took on the AAA Class sequence for the iFLY Seattle team.

The total of 105 points is currently the 2nd place on the 14+foot leaderboard where iFLY Houston holds the top spot with 109 points.

Deb Correia said that she had two new participants this month, Olga Nikolova and Katie Gregg, who flew with coaches Bill Selig and Dmitry Rudchenko.

Olga Nikolova had completed three coaching sessions with Deb Correia prior to the event. Katie Gregg had even less tunnel time and just recently made her 100th skydive.

Coach Deb Correia was very pleased with their progression:

"Both of them made great improvements throughout the session, with their high score being 18 for the RR sequence. We're thrilled to have some new flyers joining the group and look forward to their continued progress. Olga, at least, has confessed to being hooked...!"

RR Class highscore: Nancy McFadden, Jeff Smith, Babs Selig, Nat Mote
Olga Nikolova and Katie Gregg did not make it to the 14+foot leaderboard this time. Nancy McFadden, Nat Mote and Babs Selig, with coach Jeff Smith, finished with a 20-pointer for the RR Class sequence. The lineup with the coaches had competition in the AA Class after posting the AAA Class 14-pointer. Monica Aikins, Randy Barbee, Jeramy Eggum and coach Djordje Mandaric turned in the same score for their AA Class performance.

Deb Correia also pointed out that Bill Selig hit a milestone of 50 hours of tunnel flying during the coaches session: "It's been over two decades since Bill made a skydive, and we're thrilled to have him participating in our sky family."

Bill Selig is not only helping as a coach at the ICL events, he also does all of the judging for both the indoor and outdoor competitions in Seattle...
