posted May 21st, 2016 - The Sun Path Products NSL News reported the results of Denmark's annual DFU Cup on May 10th.

Valkyria had qualified as Denmark's national 4-way team in 4-way Women by beating the required 10.0 average.

Pangaea won the AAA Class competition with a 13.7 average at the beginning of the team's own preparations for competing at the Mondial 2016.

Denmark's national team in 4-way Open, VAF Warriors, had represented the country at the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014 in Prostejov, where they finished 11th after battling with eX3mo 4 from Italy for the last slot in the semi-finals.

The VAF Warriors continued in 2015 and ended up in exactly the same battle with the same team. In fact, the VAF Warriors had to deal with two teams from Italy in Teuge. Denmark's national team was closer to eX3mo4 this time and also made the first cut in the European Championship.

Several teams competed for the ten slots in the semi-finals and six in the finals, in both championship events. It was the last time that the calculation of the cuts would complicate the leaderboards. The recent elimination of semi-finals and finals will allow all teams at FAI/IPC events to complete all ten rounds of the competition.

M4trix and eX3mo might be in a similar battle at the Mondial 2016 without any cuts, and Pangaea could join it for Denmark. The VAF Warriors will not compete at Skydive Chicago.

The VAF Warriors are missing this year's World Championship of Formation Skydiving only due to an injury. Team member Mine Petersen needed hip surgery and cannot begin with outdoor training before Denmark's national championships this year.

The VAF Warriors were selected once again as the Danish national team in 4-way Open for 2016 after winning all three domestic competitions. However, Martin Søeby Mikkelsen said that his team decided to step back

due to the injury situation and allow another team to compete for Denmark at the Mondial 2016.

Mine Petersen will have recovered early enough to be ready for the FAI Indoor World Cup 2016, and the VAF Warriors will be back in action for Denmark at Flyspot in Poland later this year.
