Did You Know...

... that Texas has two new 4-way teams at iFLY Houston?

ICL March team at iFLY Seattle
posted Apr 6th, 2016 - The coverage of the Indoor Cloud League activities in March suffered severely, as the focus of the Sun Path Products NSL News was on the three recent major events: Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2016, Shamrock Showdown 2016 and World Challenge 2016. Additional indoor events (Aerokart Boot Comp 2016, Canadian Indoor Nationals) required additional attention, as well.

The March leaderboard of the Indoor Cloud League is almost complete, only a few scores and videos are still missing. iFLY Seattle added scores and videos for all six categories, while iFLY Houston improved the scores for the AAA and AA sequences with new videos of a different lineup (Laurie Long, Bo Long, Jorge Alvarez, Janus Hyder).

iFLY Houston's ICL team came together for a second meet in March after starting with a total of 94 points earlier. Four of the six scores survived, and the AAA/AA Class (Laurie Long, Bo Long, Jorge Alvarez, Janus Hyder) lineup added seven points to the new total of 101.

Babes On Our Bellies members at an earlier ICL event
Five participants of the Indoor Cloud League events at iFLY Houston have now committed to a new team project. Babes On Our Bellies (BOOBS) consists of Erika Barczak (Point), Kati Matyka (Outside Center), Debbie Hoffpauir (Tail), and Amber Taylor (Inside Center), with Diana Hu as the official alternate.

The BOOBS members met each other at the earlier ICL events this year after iFLY Houston had joined the Indoor Cloud League in January 2016. The new team did not make it onto the ICL leaderboard for March after only tying Tetralogy's 15-pointer. Tetralogy tried to improve the team's own 20-pointer and ended up with the same score at the second March meet.

4 Shades of Grey performed the A Class sequence with a new lineup at the second meet. Billy Whitaker joined the team in the Tail slot and replaces Jeff Van Neil. The AA/Intermediate Class team also took on the AAA Class sequence in March and could not outscore the other AAA Class lineup.

New iFLY Houston team: Tetralogy
The latest AAA/AA Class scores for iFLY Houston were posted by two USPA AA/Intermediate Class champions of 2014 who trained and competed with SPX 5. Jorge Alvarez and Janus Hyder teamed up with Texas Crush member Laurie Long and her husband Bo Long. Texas Crush competed in last year's AAA/Advanced Class competition at the USPA Nationals and in the AA/Intermediate Class at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2016. Janus Hyder and Ronnie Main, who is new to 4-way competition,
joined iFLY Houston's Indoor Cloud League team for the first time.

The iFLY Houston team had a very close competition in the A Class, as well. Tetrology and BOOBS both scored 17-pointers, however, 4 Shades of Grey posted the highscore with 18 points earlier last month.

Two teams ended up tied with 15 points for the RRR Class sequence. Tetralogy scores 15s at both events, and BOBS did the same at the end of March. The first 15-pointer of the month in the RRR Class remains as iFLY Houston's highscore on the March leaderboard.
