Did You Know...

... that SDC Rhythm XP and Perris Fury competed together at Paraclete XP in 2008?

SDC Rhythm XP at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2009
posted Mar 2nd, 2016 - It's show time at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2016 this Saturday morning, which is also the start of the annual 4-way Spring Tour for SDC Rhythm XP and the new 2016 lineup.

Rhythm will not meet Arizona Airspeed in Raeford this year, as the U.S. national 4-way team focuses on outdoor training and competition at the beginning of the Mondial 2016 season.

Both teams will face each other two weeks later at the Shamrock Showdown 2016.

It's the first time that SDC Rhythm XP does not meet Airspeed at the first meet of the year in the U.S.A. Rhythm started with three 4th places in 2009 (23.1), 2011 (24.5) and 2012 (25.8) before climbing up to 3rd place in 2013.

VTSD/Carolina Turbo XP at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2009
NMP PCH Hayabusa, Arizona Airspeed, Evolution and France took away the top spots in 2014 and SDC Rhythm was back in 5th place with a 25.6 average. The international top teams did not come back a year later, and Rhythm finished in 2nd place (26.6) for the first time at Paraclete XP.

Carolina Turbo XP joined the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship first time in 2012 (18.1) and started with a 7th place. Turbo was up to 5th place and a 20.1 average a year later and down to 7th place (24.7) for the same reason as SDC Rhythm XP in 2014, despite the significantly higher meet average.

Last year's 4th place (23.2) was the last meet for the Turbo lineup before Andrew Happick and Doug Barron joined SDC Rhythm XP at the end of the 2015 season.

2nd place at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2015: SDC Rhythm XP
The new Rhythm lineup will compete for the first time with the new lineup and has the opportunity to win the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship in the absence of Arizona Airspeed. However, Golden Knights and Perris Fury will both try to make it as difficult as possible for the new Rhythm lineup to finish in the top spot of the Paraclete 4-way leaderboard.

SDC Rhythm XP and Carolina Turbo XP had both witnessed Perris Fury at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2009, when Christy Frikken, Josh Hall, Chris Farina and Uli Stuwe competed in Raeford with the original lineup. Fury will be back this weekend with the same lineup, while JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz with two new team members have moved to the same position in the U.S.A. that Fury used to have.

Host John D'Annunzio, who continues to train and compete as the player coach for Southern Mix XP, said that several more teams plan to attend the indoor meet this year. The current leaderboard is showing only the pre-registered teams.
