The story mentioned the 5-point competition between the two best 4-way teams in Sweden. However, this duel for the Swedish top spot was actually much more exciting than last week's story could bring across.

Additional new meet information and the competition videos of the two AAA Class teams are now showing much better what a thriller this battle brought to the teams and to the audience. The judges needed some extra time for their work after the completion of all ten rounds due to earlier technical problems. The teams were released for dinner and asked to return later for the award ceremony. They knew only the scores for the first six rounds at this point in time.

Echochamber (Martin Bäcklin, Rikard Rodensjö, Johan Edvall, Ulf Liljenbäck) had a 2-point lead over Volo after Round 6 and left together with the other teams and competitors at Bodyflight Stockholm.

Echochamber member Ulf Liljenbäck told the Sun Path Products NSL News that his team was dining at a local restaurant two hours after performing Round 10 when they received a phone call and were asked to come back to the wind tunnel. They had to repeat Round 8 when the judges noticed that the team had not completed 35 seconds of working time before the tunnel instructor entered the flying chamber to indicate the exit for the team.

Ulf Liljenbäck said that his team was not too happy with the news: "We were quite pleased with our performance as it were. But, downing the last bit of our hamburgers, we slowly got back in competition mood."

It did not turn out too well for Echochamber after the 2-hour break and dinner, as Ulf Liljenbäck recalled the second time of Round 8, and as the videos of both attempts are showing: "We got a good start of the jump, D-22-O-J, but had a collision from 22-O at one point and lost momentum along with two points that we busted."

Echochamber completed 23 points in working time on the score sheet, with one judge at 24 points on the freeze-frame. Two point deductions brought the score down to 21 points, which made it a 5-point loss to Volo in Round 8 alone. This turned Echochamber's 3-point lead after Round 7 into a 2-point deficit after the re-flight, and Volo never gave up the new lead finishing strongly.

The meet drama was still not over for Echochamber after award ceremony and party on Saturday night. The team members downloaded the videos on Sunday afternoon and took a closer look at the team's first attempt of Round 8.

The video shows that Echochamber completed Block 22, the 23rd scoring formation, at 32 seconds when the tunnel instructor entered the chamber. Echochamber had gone through the following sprint of random formations (O-J-D) in an average time of 2.5 seconds, which would have brought the score for this performance to 26 points. The difference of five points, compared to the score for Round 8 on the leaderboard after the re-flight, is what Echochamber needed to force Volo into a jump-off...

The Echochamber members digested the information in good spirits: "We would have loved to do a jump-off for the first national gold medals in indoor competition, but we didn't get to do it. We lift our hats to Volo and will do our best to beat them in coming competitions."
