Did You Know...

... that the AA Class field for the World Challenge is very competitive?

Flyspot Chicks at the Clash of Champions
posted Feb 14th, 2016 - The field for the AA Class competition at the World Challenge 2016 takes shape too at the beginning of the registration process and promises once again great competition.

The Sun Path Products NSL News is showing and seeding the teams in this category in four sections. Five of the teams who have signed up by now competed in the AA Class last year and are seeded according to their indoor averages at the 2015 meets.

The Flyspot Chicks from Poland are in the No. 1 spot for many good reasons. They are actually the reigning champions in the A Class after launching their 2015 season at the World Challenge 2015. They won in Bedford and then moved up into the AA Class for the 2015 season.

The Flyspot Chicks became right away a top contender in the AA Class, as well. They won the bronze medals and $3,000 at the Clash of Champions 2015 with an 18.1 average.

It will still not be a walk in the park at all for the Flyspot Chicks at the World Challenge 2016. Equinox is seeded in 2nd place, even though the team from neighboring Lithuania outscored the Polish team on their home turf at Flyspot in November at the Polish Open.

Equinox had moved up into the AA Class one meet earlier than the Flyspot Chicks, after winning the A Class competition at the Polish Open 2014 in December - over the Flyspot Chicks. Equinox competed in the AA Class of the World Challenge 2015 and ended up with a slightly lower indoor average. The Lithuanian team will make it very difficult again for the Flyspot Chicks to take the AA Class top spot in Bedford.

Aerokart's second Ak'demie lineup with 4-way juniors is currently seeded in 3rd place. Aerokart has one team in each of the three AAA - AA - A categories, the same way as the French delegation and coach Marin Ferre had their youngest generation of 4-way competitors organized at the Clash of Champions.

The AAA and A Class teams travel to Bedford with the same lineups, while the AA Class team replaces coach Marin Ferre with Eliott Massier's brother Oscar. Ak'demie 2 did not have the complete lineup available in Dubai, and Matrin Ferre was helping out in the open slot.

The next section of the leaderboard shows two teams who competed in the A Class last year, Jetmax from Belgium and Tahma from Finland. Jetmax announced on December 26th, 2015, that the team was planning to move up into the AA Class.

Jetmax at the World Challenge 2015
Jetmax' 2015 lineup started in the Rookie Class last year and moved up into the A Class at the Revenge 2015, then followed up with two more A Class meets, including a stunning 24.5 average at the ISR Grand Prix 2015.

There is no doubt that Jetmax will be in AA Class medal contention at the World Challenge 2016, as well. Jetmax is also bringing their coaches and supporters to Bedford.

Les Stunts, Thunder ISR and NMP PCH Hayabusa members have helped Jetmax to represent the Belgian delegation successfully, and they will all be in Bedford in April. Tahma from Finland has been guided by a former member of Finland's national 4-way teams in the 90s, Ari "Zero" Laukkanen.

SDC Rhemix, with player coach Christy Frikken, and Pixies have no indoor records. HF Skycentrum is a new team from the Czech Republic.
