Did You Know...

... that new Indoor Cloud League competitor Nathan Taylor entered the iFLY Orlando chamber in his own way?

iFLY Orlando's Indoor Cloud League team last Thursday
posted Jan 30th, 2016 - A few new scores have been added to the January leaderboard of the Indoor Cloud League, which usually grows at the end of the month.

iFLY Orlando's Indoor Cloud League team added scores and videos in four of the six ICL categories and improved the AA Class score from 15 to 18 points. The total of 102 points places iFLY Orlando currently in 2nd place behind the Hurricane Factory.

It was a unique month for iFLY Orlando's Indoor Cloud League team. The six scores for the six different sequences were posted by six different lineups, even though there was internal competition for the highest scores. DeLand Momentum had posted two highscores earlier this month (AA - A) and lost one of them to the AA Class lineup on Thursday night.

The lineup that posted the new 18-pointer included two Momentum members, Leigh Estabrook and Hal Spence, who improved their own previous 15-pointer by three. Bob Byrne and Sebastian Jimenez completed the AA Class lineup with the two Momentum members.

This AA Class lineup had more internal competition in the same category. Alix Raymond, Steve Hubbard, James Hall and Kurt Gaebel completed 20 points within working time. However, the camera angle did not allow a clear view of several formations and inters, and the actual score would have been lower than the posted 18-pointer.

The same two lineups were also in competition for the AAA Class score, and the video for this category is showing the lineup with two former DeLand Flashpoint members (Alix Raymond, Steve Hubbard) and former DeLand Momentum tail James Hall.

Cathy Luo, Niklas Davis, James Hall and Sebastian Jimenez tied both of DeLand Momentum's previously posted scores (15 - 19) and then eventually claimed the highest score for the challenging RRR Class sequence with a 21-pointer. This is iFLY Orlando's only Indoor Cloud League highscore for the month of January so far.

Two different lineups took on all three Rookie Class sequences (RRR - RR - R) and each team claimed one of the remaining two highscores. Hal Spence and Bob Byrne guided Kanishka "Lee" Perera and new Indoor Cloud League competitor Nathan Taylor to the 15-pointer in the RR Class. A new Rookie Class lineup of the ZEUS project (Bob Palatka, Kanishka Perera, Noel Damouni, Amer Kassas) posted the 15-pointer for the R Class sequence.

iFLY Orlando's newest Indoor Cloud League competitor Nathan Taylor had his own previous and very different experience with the wind tunnel. The professional stuntman helped iFLY Orlando with recent maintenance work in a special way, as the video shows, before flying in the chamber a few days later...
