Did You Know...

... that iFLY Seattle turned the Indoor Cloud League 2015 rankings in the last minute?

Last-minute 2015 charge: iFLY Seattle
posted Jan 6th, 2016 - The last videos and scores of the Indoor Cloud League December competition came from iFLY Dallas, where Amanda Lampton's ICL team was trying to defend the 3-point lead (1199 - 1196) over iFLY Seattle after the completion of the November leaderboard, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on January 2nd.

Player coaches Amanda Lampton, Amy Haass, Lucas King and Scott Levy were assisted by Genifer Oliver and Dave Eisele to guide seven different lineups through four of the six December sequences. Dallas 350 member Scott Levy and both assistant coaches, plus Kyle Hermberg, then took on the AA Class sequence and tied the 14-pointer posted by iFLY Seattle.

Both Dallas 350 members (Scott Levy, Lucas King) then had Amanda Lampton and Genifer Oliver in the lineup for the AAA Class sequence and matched Deb Correia's 16-pointer from iFLY Seattle, as well.

iFLY Dallas AAA Class lineup in action
Two iFLY Dallas lineups (Amanda Lampton, Vanessa Meyer, Blake Bellman, John Cotney - Lucas King, Donaldo Grajeda, Michael Erickson, Lauren Gilbert) ended up with 18-pointers for the A Class sequence, where iFLY Seattle won the first point in the final battle for the 4th place.

iFLY Seattle won three more points in the RRR Class (22 - 19) and five in the RR Class (26 - 21) before Amy Haass and Scott Levy, with Rob Parker and Alex Veguilla in the lineup, reduced the 9-point deficit to six points (18 - 15) with the results for the R Class sequence.

However, the remaining difference of six point to the December advantage of iFLY Seattle turned the 3-point iFLY Dallas lead into a 3-point deficit, and iFLY Seattle took the 4th place in the 2015 rankings from iFLY Dallas in the last minute (1308 - 1305). It was the closest finish in the short history of the Indoor Cloud League.

The top scores in December were posted by the Hurricane Factory (AAA), SkyVenture Montreal (AAA - AA - A - RRR) and iFLY Orlando (RRR - RR - R). The Czech Bad Boys were able to tie 4Astrophe's 20-pointer for the AAA Class sequence (J,14,A,3) and could not keep up with the Canadian lineup in the AA Class (19 - 22).

This AAA/AA duel was almost completely between international competitors. The Bad Boys are the current national 4-way team for the Czech Republic, while three 4Astrophe members have competed for Canada. Katie Woods is still the reigning 4-way bronze medalist of the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014. Valerie Bisson is a current member of the Canadian national team in 4-way Women, Parachute Montreal Fuzion, and her father Richard Bisson was in Canada's national teams long ago. Only the youngest member of the Bisson family, 15-year old Yannick, has not represented Canada yet. He has competed with 4Astrophe internationally years ago at the World Challenge.

Jan Klapka's Sportflight team at the Hurricane Factory finishes once again on the top of the annual Indoor Cloud League leaderboard, and the first sequences for the 2016 competition are posted.
