... that the Rhythm and Turbo front pieces have joined forces?

3rd place outdoor - 5th place indoor: SDC Rhythm XP 2015
posted Dec 20th, 2015 - SDC Rhythm XP is finishing the 2015 season as the third best 4-way team in the world, as the Sun Path Products NSL News reported on December 14th, and is in 5th place of the World Indoor Team Rankings at the end of the year.

Every year, Rhythm has moved up and closer to the world's top 4-way level while reducing the distance to the US top team, Arizona Airspeed. The Sun Path Products NSL News has followed the Rhythm progression year by year since the first lineup (JaNette Lefkowitz, Steve Lefkowitz, Laurent Beaudouin, Robert Chromy, with Kevin Nafzger on camera) started in 2007.

JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz' first three lineups each stayed together for one year before Thiago Gomes and Rob Radez added a second year with the same lineup of 2010 - 2011. Chris Farina and Thiago Gomes spent one year together for Rhythm in 2012 before both accepted the Airspeed invitation after the Mondial 2012.

New SDC Rhythm XP lineup: Two front pieces
Christy Frikken and Mikhail Markine joined JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz for the new lineup in 2013 and have completed their third year with Rhythm at the highest level in the team history. However, the end of the 2015 season is also the end of this Rhythm lineup, as JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz recently announced: "After excellent 3 years with Rhythm we are sad to say goodbye to Christy and Mikhail from our competition team. Thanks for everything!"

The end of a Rhythm period usually comes with the beginning of a new lineup, and the same announcement included the good news for Rhythm fans:

"And it's with great excitement that we welcome our newest team mates, Andrew Happick and Doug Barron! They join us from Carolina Turbo XP, also an excellent 4-way team with a history of top performance and coaching experience. Let the path to excellence continue!"

Common goal: Challenge Arizona Airspeed
Andrew Happick (Point) and Doug Barron (Outside Center) are Carolina Turbo XP's complete front piece, and the new Rhythm lineup has to make choices. JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz have been the front piece for their team since it was formed in 2007. SDC Rhythm XP is also still looking for a new team videographer.

The Turbo team project started two years after the first Rhythm year. Andrew Happick and Doug Barron were original members who won USPA gold medals in the Intermediate Class with VTSD in 2009. The name changed to Carolina Turbo XP in 2010, and the young team has moved up year by year in the 4-way Open Class rankings at the USPA Nationals after winning the Advanced Class gold medals in 2010. The new Rhythm/Turbo combination will now continue doing what both teams have been trying for years: Challenge Arizona Airspeed. JaNette Lefkowitz is looking forward to the new Rhythm period:

"I'm excited about what Doug and Andrew will bring to the team and to SDC and Sebastian. We're also planning lots of great stuff for our coaching, teams and events, including player coach teams, skills camps, big ways, etc. We should have information about our player coach projects out soon, but it will include 4- and 8-way at beginner and advanced levels."
