... that five of the 4-way VFS indoor world meet teams also competed in Teuge?

Transfert at the FAI World Cup 2015
posted Oct 22nd, 2015 - Six teams competed in 4-way VFS at the FAI World Cup 2015, and five of them were the current national 4-way VFS teams for their countries.

Each of these five national teams is now coming back to the 1st FAI World Indoor Skydiving Championships to find out if there is any difference between the indoor and outdoor rankings.

Both events were lacking participation from overseas, with one exception. The United Arab Emirates have registered a 4-way VFS team for the indoor competition at the Hurricane Factory. However, the strong US teams are not a part of this indoor double header in Europe, and one of the top rankings will be taken next year by the new US national team that has to qualify at the USPA Nationals next week.

Gold in 2014: Team4speed

The new French national 4-way VFS team Transfert won their first set of gold medal in Teuge. Team4speed discontinued after winning three consecutive gold medals at the world meets in Menzelinsk 2010, Dubai 2012 and Prostejov 2014.

Transfert will try next year to defend the French VFS top position in the world. Transfert has been the French B-Team for years while Team4speed competed for France at the big meets. Three team members (Nathanael Bibring, Mickael Melo, Emmanuelle Droneau) have been training and competing together since 2012.

Philippe "Le Professeur" Schorno, 4-way world champion in 1987, 1989, 1991 and 1993 has continued as the national coach in 4-way VFS and is now working with his new national team to defend the French gold medals. He is getting help from the Team4speed members. Transfert has a slightly different lineup for the upcoming indoor competition, where Edouard Henry replaces Nathanael Bibring.

Silver in Prostejov: Arizona Arsenal
Only the second Russian 4-way VFS team in Teuge, UFO, will not compete in Prague. The world championship rules allow only one team per nation to compete for FAI/IPC medals.

However, five additional countries (Switzerland, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Belgium, and United Arab Emirates) have sent a 4-way VFS team to Prague, which makes it a total of ten countries, two more than at the outdoor world championships in Prostejov last year.

The new French national team won in Teuge with a 14.8 average. It is still a long way to go for Transfert to reach the gold medal level in this event, which Team4speed won with a 22.4 average last year. Arizona Arsenal won silver with 21.0 and Evolution's VFS lineup was in 3rd place with a 17.7 average. Both teams will carefully watch the progression of the French team...
