NSL News Coverage of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024

Did You Know...

... that Pamela Lissajoux is the new Outside Center for the French Girls?

Artemis Saumur at the World Cup 2015
posted Oct 1st, 2015 - The search for the ideal new lineup of the French national team in 4-way Women continues.

The Sun Path Products NSL News recently reported live from the FAI World Cup 2015, where the French Girls attended their first outdoor competition with the new lineup. It was an impressive performance with a meet average that might have even surprised the Golden Knights, main opponent for the reigning French world champions in this category, at this point in time.

However, French national coach Mathieu Bernier informed the Sun Path Products NSL News that there was another change in the lineup after the World Cup in Teuge. Outside Center Anais Maillet does not continue with the team, and B-team member Pamela Lissajoux has taken her slot.

Currently in training over Gap: French Girls with new lineup

"The team of VR4 France Women is committed in a new cycle. A change has taken place: for personal reasons, Anais has decided to quit the team. We therefore welcome Pamela Lissajoux as Number 2 (Outside Center). Member of the team VR4 Artemis Saumur, she was in the Top 4 of the 2015 World Cup in Teuge with a 19.8 average, very encouraging results for the future of our team."

"On the high level, it is sometimes difficult to reconcile personal life, work and sports, which requires a total daily commitment. Today more than ever, each member of the team has a single objective: The World Championship 2016."

"It's a new challenge for the gold in Chicago that is coming, and the team in the new lineup is more motivated than ever. Currently in Gap in training, we carry out our first jumps with Pam. Then we will follow up with indoor training at FLY-IN in October before the indoor world championship in Prague."

Fortunately, France is usually prepared for such a situation, as the lineups of the national B-teams include French 4-way talent for the near future. New Outside Center Pamela Lissajoux was in the same slot for Artemis Saumur, the French B-team that finished in 4th place at the World Cup in Teuge with a 19.8 average.

It was not difficult for national coach Mathieu Bernier to find the replacement, as he was also the player coach for Artemis this year. He knows the new French Girls member very well.

The change also brings back together Clementine Le Bohec and Pamela Lissajoux, who both trained and competed with Artemis Saumur before Clementine Le Bohec was selected for the new French Girls lineup at the end of the 2014 season. Sophia Pecout and Pamela Lissajoux know each other from previous training and competition, too. They spent the 2012 season together when France had a complete third B-team only for the female 4-way category. It will probably not take much time until Pamela Lissajoux continues with the French Girls where they left it after the World Cup...
