Did You Know...

... that the first-timers at a world meet have a good time?

First world meet: eXact from Sweden
posted Aug 29th, 2014 - The protest dust has settled after a few other teams also tried to get re-jumps due to higher air speed than required on jump run. The jury has not agreed with any arguments for any re-jumps, and the scores on the leaderboard are standing strongly.

The Sun Path Products NSL News has now been zooming in on teams and competitors who compete for the first at a World Championship of Formation Skydiving. There is time for that, as the situation at the relevant spots on the leaderboards seem to be settled.

NMP-PCH Hayabusa is strongly headed at the first gold medals for Belgium, and Mark Kirkby will retire from Arizona Airspeed's competition lineup with silver medals this year. Evolution will win the first bronze medals for Canada. German is safe in 6th place and the slot in the finals, and the Top 10 teams for the first cut are also settled in their positions.

First world meet for 7: French 8-way team Venturi
Perrine Sanchez, Laurence Herve and videographer Remy Grandcler defended the French gold medals in 4-way Women successfully with the Deep Blue Defenders in 2012 and will now defend the 1st place successfully once again with the new lineup. Golden Knights will win silver and Kaizen bronze.

The Golden Knights have no competition in 8-way, where only Barkli and Venturi battle for the 2nd place. Team4speed is far ahead in VFS 4-way, Arizona Arsenal wins silver and Evolution their second bronze medal. That's a first time though, and the Sun Path Products NSL News plans to discuss the incredible achievement with the team after the conclusion of the event.

So it's time for the new competitors at the world meet, even though seven of them are members of the French national 8-way team Venturi, who will take their first world meet medals back home to France. Les Stunts from Blegium, the SolarFlakes from Lithuania and the Swedish team eXact provided the Sun Path Products NSL News with their impressions.
