Did You Know...

... that the Fun Flag police expects a new showing at the World Challenge?

Fun Flag flying in Banja Luka
posted Apr 1st, 2014 - The 4way competition world was in good order and in good health until the World Cup 2013 in Banja Luka. Exciting events have followed last year and in 2014, including national championships and international meets, but the atmosphere has not been the same.

There is a sad reason for the lack of fun spirits at the hosting drop zones and wind tunnels of the bigger meets: The Fun Flag has not been flying since August 2013.

The last Fun Flag update was published by the Sun Path Products NSL News on 11 October 2013, which only recalled earlier Fun Flag activities in Dubai 2012 and Banja Luka 2013.

No Fun Flag at the 4th DIPC 2013
The 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2013 went by without the Fun Flag, and the 2014 season began without any sightings of it, even though several events had great international participation, such as the Paraclete XP Indoor and Outdoor Championship 2014.

Paul Mayer, host of the World Challenge 2014, is now concerned that the Fun Flag might not make its way to the United Kingdom this week. He has been a strong supporter of the Fun Flag mission and participated well at Bodyflight Bedford.

The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on 4 April 2013 how Katie Woods lost the Fun Flag during her customs inspections at the London airport. The flag finally arrived in Bedford, as the story on 5 April 2013 followed up with new information.

Fun Flag at the World Challenge 2013
Paul Meyer helped the Fun Flag to a consistent presence and visibility during the World Challenge 2013, and UK team Eclipse had the final possession at the end of the meet. Eclipse followed the Fun Flag rules and brought it to the next event, the World Cup in Banja Luka, where the showings and activities continued.

The story on 16 August 2013 included the last Fun Flag update, and it was related to Bodyflight Isis. The fun events in Banja Luka were followed by a suspicious and sad silence, and the Fun Flag has not been seen at any events ever since.

Teams from almost all skydiving countries in the world are now traveling to Bedford for the World Challenge, hopefully with the Fun Flag in somebody's luggage. Paul Mayer is hoping that the sad Fun Flag silence will end and turn once again into entertaining activities at Bodyflight Bedford beginning this Friday.
