Did You Know...

... that Monaco's 8way lineup brings back together two more former French world class competitors?

14.8 average in 4th place at the Mondial 2012: Germany
posted Dec 2nd, 2013 - The 8way competition of the 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2013 is actually the only category with a battle for the medal positions, and it is close enough after four rounds to promise an exciting race until the meet is over.

The battle is only within the medal positions, between Dubai Asaar, Monaco's 8way lineup and Tanay from Russia, as the German team Sudwest in 4th place is too far away by now to interfere.

The three 8way powerhouses USA, France and Russia don't have their best 8way teams in Dubai, however, the current medal contenders are on the world level that comes right behind the medal positions at a World Championship of Formation Skydiving. All three teams in Dubai would have been in 4th place at the Mondial 2012 with their current meet averages after four rounds.

Craig Girard explained the Dubai Asaar 8way situation earlier for the Sun Path Products NSL News. The home team has to defend the 3-point lead as soon as the 8way competition resumes today.

Monaco's 8way lineup is currently in 2nd place. Jeff Ronzevalle and Didier Boignon extended their ongoing Monaco 4way project last year and invited more French competitors to join their 8way lineup. The mission is similar as in 4way, as two more members of the French national 8way team of 1989 - 1995 now compete again with their world class team mates of long ago.

Pierre Auvray and Yves Negrie trained and competed withDidier Boignon, Jeff Ronzevalle and Franck Vazille in the same time period over 20 years ago and won several medals at World Cups and World Meets for France. The Monaco project has now brought them back together.

Monaco's 8way lineup in Dubai
Davide Moy and Florian Denonfoux are completing the lineup, and Claude Ferraro is filming Monaco's 4way and 8way team. Davide Moy was in the French 4way lineup that won the World Meet gold medals Gap in 2003. France tried to win gold medals in 8way with the same 4way team in the 8way lineup and ended up in 3rd place. Davide Moy obviously has his own 8way experiences, as well.

Florian Denonfoux was a member of the French 4way B-Team in the past and competed for the French Air Force team from Nice this year. Monaco Vitalsea was the direct opponent for the his team at this year's Coupe de France meets, and the Air Force had the upper hand this year.

Monaco Vitalsea then invited Florian Denonfoux to join the 8way lineup, and now they are trying to win together at the 4th DIPC 2013.
