Did You Know...

... that the combination of an exit Canadian T and a turning jump plane causes trouble?

All smiles after Round 6: Golden Knights
posted Aug 16th, 2013 - Traditional 4way competition is now in full swing on Friday afternoon.

The action began with Round 6 in the female category, and the Golden Knights looked like having a plan for today. The Omniskore screen was showing an aggressive and energized US Army team, ready to eliminate the 2-point difference. The Aerodyne French Girls looked a little bit more cautious than yesterday and gave up a point. The new competition videos include Round 6 of the Golden Knights.

It looked similarly between Bodyflight Isis and Kaizen where Isis picked up the pace and two points in the same round. It is now a 4-point difference for the bronze medals between the two UK teams.

All smiles after Round 6: Bodyflight Isis
The exit formation of the sequence (Canadian T) seemed to be challenging for the team videographers when the Sun Path Products NSL News was watching the three videos of Bodyflight Isis, Kaizen and Golden Knights who were in the same load. Both UK teams lost the point for the Canadian T due to the camera angle, and Scott Janise was barely keeping the formation on a judgeable angle.

He explained later that the jump plane was in a turn and banked when the teams were exiting, which caused the problems for the videographers.

He also mentioned that another jump plane had an agressive door function that surprised him and other videographers when they opened it. The door sprang open, made contact and shut off the cameras. Scott Janise did not notice the malfunction and had to use his backup camera to provide footage for the judges. It all worked out well for the Golden Knights, while Bodyflight Isis and Kaizen lost their exit points in Round 6.
