NSL News Coverage of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024

Did You Know...

... that the new Crossbow does not fit easily into the flying chamber?

Raeford Dragons with coach Andy Honigbaum
posted Feb 2nd, 2013 - Rounds 2 and 7 in 8way at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2013 brought two of the three new blocks in the dive pool to the 8way teams. The NSL News reported the changes in the dive pool on 27 January 2013, and this weekend's competition was a great opportunity to take a closer look.

The new Block 5 (Crank - Crank) was drawn in Round 2, together with the new Random Formation K (Crossbow). Block 7 (Nacho - Nacho) followed in Round 7. The new Block 21 (Stereopod - Stereopod) did not make into the 10-round competition draw, which is an unfortunate coincidence.

The NSL News discussed the changes of the dive pool briefly with Paraclete XP8 members at the end of the day. The other video features the Top 4 teams with the execution of the two blocks. XP8 Tail Tim D'Annunzio had to admit that the Crossbow (K) is too long for his flying chamber. The video of Round 2 shows why.

Bonjour Blue Sky prepares for a flying session
The video of the Top 4 teams includes the two French lineups Bonjour Blue Sky and Maubeuge Espoirs who have been battling internally from the first to the last round so far.

The young national B-Team had a 4-point lead after Round 6. Then 8way veterans Martial Ferre and Damien Sorlin got serious, together with Thunder's Paul Hofstee, and turned the table in the last two rounds of the day. Bonjour Blue Sky is now up by one point, and the battle will continue tomorrow.

Paraclete XP8 allowed the French teams to get too close in the earlier rounds and has picked up the pace in the last three rounds, as the leaderboard shows. The 4way teams will be first in the chamber tomorrow morning.
