Did you know that the World Challenge 2016 featured the most colorful combination of 4-way competitors?
posted: Jun 13th, 2016 It was almost a year ago when I felt like bringing the 4-way juniors to the attention of the valued Blue Skies Mag and SKYLEAGUE.COM audience. It surely was not the first time that I had given them attention at all. In fact, the new generation of 4-way competitors have fascinated me for a long time, and the SUN PATH PRODUCTS NSL NEWS has covered their participation in our sport many times for many years. Fortunately, the emotional level in discussing their legitimate participation in our sport, and how to format it, is not even close to the waves when it comes to the discussion of 4-way women.... Did you know that Das Booties heard the music in Round 6?
posted: Jun 13th, 2016 The new overall leaderboard of last weekend's meets is once again an incomplete one, due to the weather situations in Germany and Great Britain. The A Class teams of the Northwest Skydiving League were actually the only ones with six completed rounds. Last weekend's leaderboard still turned out to be the largest one of the 2016 outdoor season so far. The A Class competition was the most popular one, where teams from all three countries had at least one A Class ranking. In fact, this category has the greatest participation in the United Kingdom Skydiving League, with a total of 13 teams... (more)

Did you know that iFLY Orlando launches the Indoor Cloud League June competition with four scores?
posted: Jun 12th, 2016 This weekend will feature the first combined international leaderboard with three 4-way outdoor events in three different countries (U.S.A., United Kingdom, Germany). However, the first Indoor Cloud League scores and videos for the month of June were posted before the weekend's outdoor leaderboard shows the first numbers. iFLY Orlando's ICL team came together on Thursday and tested four of the six June sequences for the 12+foot competition. The first FSL indoor event this month was a combination of a skills camp and the competitive part with the Indoor Cloud League sequences. Two lineups... (more)

Did you know that Airwolves from Poland and 4mula have not only ICL highscores in common?
posted: Jun 10th, 2016 A late submission for the May leaderboard of the Indoor Cloud League has not changed much in the rankings, neither for last month nor for the 2016 leaderboard. However, it brings the same attention to the British 4-way team 4mula that came with the AAA Class highscore in April, when 4mula left all other participating teams and lineups in the dust with the 27-pointer. This time, 4mula outscored the previous highscores for the AA Class sequence again by a significant margin (24 - 19). 4mula performs the ICL sequences in Bodyflight Bedford's 16-foot flying chamber, which hosts the annual World... Did you know that Arizona Airspeed is not recruiting from SDC Rhythm XP this time?
posted: Jun 9th, 2016 The recent Arizona Airspeed update was not only good news for the U.S. 4-way champion of the past nine years, who will most likely add the 10th consecutive USPA title to their collection later this year and after the Mondial 2016. It will be the 6th USPA 4-way gold medal for Thomas Hughes, who will be forwarding his Outside Center slot to successor Ari Perelman after the USPA Nationals 2016. Only Mark Kirkby has collected more USPA 4-way gold medals - 16 of them since Arizona Airspeed's first 4-way title in 1994. Thomas Hughes ties the other three original Airspeed members (Jack Jefferies, Dan... (more)

Did you know that last weekend's combined SCSL/MWSL leaderboard includes prominent names?
posted: Jun 8th, 2016 Last weekend featured the first combined leaderboard of the year. There have been earlier weekends where different leagues and events were scheduled for the same dates. Unfortunately, the weather interfered too much at the different locations, and no combined leaderboard could be produced so far. The weather was far from perfect last weekend, as well, as a good number of scores are missing. However, it was good enough at Skydive Perris and Skydive Chicago for at least one common round in all four categories. In fact, it was only AAA Class team CSC Survival Instinct who did not get beyond... (more)
