Did you know that Ari Perelman will be the new Airspeed member?
posted: Jun 6th, 2016 It is nothing new that Thomas Hughes, Arizona Airspeed member between 2011 and 2016, plans to step back from active training and competition at the end of this year. The Sun Path Products NSL News posted the news on December 21st, after he had announced his plans at the Clash of Champions 2015. It is also normal Airspeed procedure that the team negotiates the new lineups early and announces new members long before they start training and competing. The newest member, Mikhail Markine, was officially introduced to the 4-way world in January 2016 for the slot that would open up after the USPA Nationals... (more)

The same story mentioned that the winner of the DFU Cup 2016, Pangaea, was not officially sanctioned yet as Denmark's national team in 4-way AAA/Open. Did you know that Airspeed's lineup rotation has been increasing the pace in the past years?
posted: Jun 3rd, 2016 It has been quite a turbulent time period for Arizona Airspeed after the FAI World Meet in Prostejov 2014, and the Sun Path Products NSL News took once again a closer look at the changes of the lineups over the years. It was at the time of Airspeed's 20-year anniversary when the last lineup update was posted, and Airspeed was the reigning 4-way world champion by then. Thomas Hughes and Mark Kirkby had put together the next lineup after winning the gold medals at the FAI Mondial Dubai 2012, with Chris Farina and Thiago Gomes as their new team mates. The previous lineup (2011 - 2012) had spent... (more)

Did you know that the good M4trix news confirmed the bad M8trix news from the Netherlands?
posted: Jun 2nd, 2016 The recent update from the Netherlands on May 21st was good news, as it confirmed that the European country will have a well prepared 4-way Open Class national team at the Mondial 2016. However, bad news was confirmed at the same time. The Dutch national 8-way team M8trix has disbanded, at least temporarily, and the Netherlands will not be represented in this event at Skydive Chicago in September. M8trix was formed in 2011 and has a perfect progression record throughout the six 8-way competitions that the team attended. The 13.9 average at the FAI World Cup 2015 was the last and the highest... posted: Jun 1st, 2016 The Sun Path Products NSL News reported earlier this week that the recent extension of the Indoor Cloud League dive pool separated the 12- and 14-foot teams: "None of the three currently posted teams who are flying in 14-foot chambers has yet posted scores and videos for the 12-foot sequences, as well." It took only a few days until this situation changed. iFLY Houston became the first ICL team with complete sets of six scores and videos on both leaderboards. The iFLY Houston team used the second half of the month to take care of the three additional sequences (AAA - AA - A) for the 12-foot... (more)
