News Article Did you know that Dennis Praet evaluated NMP PCH HayaBusa and Shamrock Showdown?
posted: Mar 28th, 2024 The last NSL Live Talk conversation with NMP PCH HayaBusa's team captain Dennis Praet took place before the complete current lineup traveled to New Zealand for a training camp. It was scheduled before the cancellation of the outdoor world championship in Israel and the replacement of the event to North Carolina. Jump plane for their recent training camp in New Zealand was still the PAC 750XL which was supposed to be lifting the 4-way teams to competition altitude in Israel. 4-time world champion Dennis Praet and his Belgian team were not overly excited to exit from the same plane, even though... News Article Did you know that the ICL Midwest team continues with CSC Constellation XP leadership?
posted: Mar 27th, 2024 The ICL Midwest team joined the Indoor Cloud League in August 2020, as the NSL News reported the same month. The members of 4-way team Skydive Midwest NEXT were the driving force who organized and managed the events and activities. SDMW NEXT had established themselves as one of the best amateur teams in the United States and won USPA championship titles in 4-way Intermediate (2015) and 4-way Advanced (2016). Only Carolina Turbo XP accomplished the same double-gold in two consecutive years, as well, with SDC Rhythm XP member Doug Barron and GKXP8's Andrew Happick in the teams' original lineup. Skydive... News Article Did you know that French 4-way teams competed in DeLand and Bordeaux at the same time?
posted: Mar 25th, 2024 French national coach Mathieu Bernier brought his national 4-way delegation, Aethers (4-way Open) and Nephtys (4-way Women), to Florida this month for training and competition. Both teams completed the desired amount of training jumps before the Shamrock Showdown 2023, where they could measure their outdoor starting position at the beginning of the world championship season. The NSL News reported the bad luck of Aethers with the Shamrock preview on March 12th. Outside center Tom Mattoni broke a few bones of his right foot at an out-landing on the first training jump in the morning. He traveled... (more)
News Article Did you know that Qatar Lions and NOT NFTO took the top spots on the German 4-way leaderboard?
posted: Mar 24th, 2024 The NSL News coverage of the German Indoor Nationals 2024 began with the 8-way competition, which is unusual. Horizontal 4-way Formation Skydiving competition is the most popular event in the sport, and it regularly offers more content and exciting stories. Naturally, it has most often priority in NSL News event coverage. However, the exciting 8-way duel between Operation Adler and the Airbus 8-way team, which has caught the attention of the NSL News several times, took the front page once again at the country's national indoor championship. It was not easy to put the 4-way battle between the... (more)
News Article Did you know that Thyra went from 9.7 on Friday to 15.6 on Saturday?
posted: Mar 22nd, 2024 The NSL News has followed the development of the new Norwegian national team in 4-way Women, Thyra, since the current team members were selected to participate in Carl-Erik Tuv's 4-way project FS2020/2022/2024 that the original DeLand Norgies member started four years ago. Carl-Erik Tuv did not only initiate the 4-way project with support of members of the Norwegian skydiving federation. He has also been available whenever the two new national teams, Agera in 4-way Open and Thyra in 4-way Women, needed very practical help beyond coaching and administration. He was in the tail slot for Agera... (more)
News Article Did you know that Realfly Fire and Airdrops won in Switzerland?
posted: Mar 22nd, 2024 The aftermath of the Shamrock Showdown 2024 will still continue for a while, and the NSL News will also try to catch up with other events that happened in the meantime. Even though the outdoor event at Skydive DeLand in Florida was once again featuring world class competition, including the currently two best 4-way teams in the world and FAI medal winners in 4-way Women, there was not too much suspense on the leaderboard, as the teams maintained respectful distances between each other. It was the Skins Game of the Shamrock Showdown that still generated more than enough excitement round by round,... (more)
