Did You Know...

... that a new NSL Profile features new SDC Rhythm XP member Chris Farina?

Chris Farina
posted Dec 24th, 2011 - The NSL News mentioned on 22 December 2011 that the aftermath of the SDC Rhythm XP tryouts would be far from over. It would include additional feedback from team members and a new NSL Profile.

New Center Inside Chris Farina has now provided the NSL News with information of his whole skydiving career, and the audience has the opportunity to learn more about how he made it from his first jump to becoming a world class 4way competitior and the new engine for SDC Rhythm XP.

His former Perris Fury team mate Christy Frikken made it into the NSL Profiles much earlier after she was voted for Skydiving Magazine's "Skydiver of the Year" in 2007. It was Perris Fury's second year with Chris Farina in the Center Inside slot, across of Christy Frikken in the Center Outside position. Fury was in the middle of a unique and impressive progression to the top level of 4way competition in the USA at that time.

Christy Frikken and Chris Farina with Perris Fury
Chris Farina now has his own NSL Profile four years later, and it was a different occasion that caught enough attention for this special feature. It was an interesting coincidence that both Fury members ended up in the same tryouts for the open Rhythm slot.

Christy Frikken and Chris Farina both made their names in the skydiving world mostly with the Perris Fury project. However, they are both also heavily involved in several other skydiving projects and have actually been running the Perris Fury business together. Chris Farina's new NSL Profile provides more information in this area.

Christy Frikken's NSL Profile is also limited to the story that the Skydiving Magazine published in March 2008. It does not provide much information of her skydiving career before she became a Perris Fury member. It will be time for an update very soon, which will be another part of the Rhythm tryouts aftermath.

Chris Farina with Formula 4
Chris Farina's new NSL Profile offers much more information of the early days in his skydiving career and the rest of his life. He got involved with 4way in 1999 and won USPA gold medals in the Intermediate Class with Formula 4 in 2001.

He also left behind a successful career in the corporate business world when he dedicated his life to skydiving and 4way competition. He is on the same agenda with his new team mates JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz in this field, who are both graduates of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as was former Center Inside Rob Radez.

Chris Farina dropped out of the business world in 2005, which turned out to be perfect timing. Perris Fury needed a new team member when player coach Mark Kirkby joined Team Fastrax for the 2006 season. He showed up for the Fury tryouts, won the selection and has been with the Perris team ever since and until the Rhythm opportunity came up this month.
