Did You Know...

... that the Shamrock Skins Game kicks in after Round 5?

Top teams boarding for Round 5
posted Mar 18th, 2011 - The videos of Round 3 are coming with the scores of Rounds 4 and 5. Airspeed gave away the 25th scoring point with an incomplete formation and had to accept that France tied the score for a round for the first time at the Shamrock Showdown 2011.

The scores of all three top teams show how even the sequences of this competition draw have been so far. It is quite unusual that a team's scores are within one single point after four rounds. That's the case for Arizona Airspeed and Aerodyne Aerokart Maubeuge. NMP-PCH Hayabusa and the DeLand Norgies copy that very closely.

In fact, most of the teams have been very consistent for all four rounds, and the general performance level is impressive. Another slow sequence is coming up in Round 5, and a 20-pointer will be a great score.

Skins Game kicks in tomorrow morning
The first half of the meet will be over after Round 5, and the Skins Game will kick in. The first winner of Round 6, after handicap, will take home $150 cash, sponsored by United Parachute Technology. UPT puts in another $300 for the winner of Round 7.

The cash amount goes up to $450 for Round 8 (Chuting Star), Round 9 (Performance Designs) and Round 10 (Jacob Air Conditioning). The winner of the AAA Class competition before handicap will take home $1,000 cash from Skydive DeLand, and it will be difficult to keep Airspeed from winning it again.

Even the winners of the AA Class competition will win some cash, sponsored by Sky Systems. The 1st place goes for $200, and the team in 2nd place gets $100. The AA Class teams play without handicap for the money.
