Did You Know...

... that Skydive Elsinore had a busy day on the SCSL season opener?

Scores of the SCSL April meet
posted Apr 26th, 2010 - With five competing teams, 105 tandems and 20+ AFF's happening, it was a busy day at Skydive Elsinore for the opening SCSL Meet of the season.

Graced with blue skies and perfect 75 degree skydiving weather, Elsinore was a fantastic host with the awards ceremony finished and the adult beverages flowing well before sunset.

With no AAA Class teams competing, the highlight of the day was in the A Class as the Royal Air Force Demo teams battled it out. Having learned the dive pool only two weeks ago and competing in their first ever 4-way meet, the 7.1 and 7.6 averages of these two teams were impressive. If either of these groups decides they want to move away from the demo circuit and into the 4-way scene, look out!

Best team name ever: Elsinore Rigby
It was a day for pick-up teams in the AA Class. Mish-Mash, containing several members of Perris Jimani, had some great rounds and nearly hit a double digit average. Meet Coach Lou Ascione worked with Blue Steel as these aspiring 4-way addicts looked to improve.

As always local team Elsinore Rigby continued its way up the Rookie Class learning curve and took honors for the best team name ever to come out of Skydive Elsinore.

A special congrats to the camera-flyers for some of the best overall video the SCSL has ever seen. Through 30 jumps, the score sheets were marred by only 3 NJ's on the day, not all of which were the fault of the camera-flyer. Congrats as well to each of the teams for keeping the busts to the lowest level seen in quite some time. These old eyes really appreciated the clean flying.
