Did You Know...

... that Rounds 7 and 8 of the Top 4 are now available?

Pressure on Hayabusa Defence
posted Sep 3rd, 2009 - The 4-way Open Class teams are now on a break, as well. Round 8 has been completed. It is time for the next two 8-way rounds and the Artistic Events to catch up.

France Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge managed once again to avoid a 1 at the beginning of the score for a slow sequence. In fact, the Side Body Donut of Block 2 was only a split second away.

Only Arizona Airspeed has managed to score 20 or higher in each round of a 10-round competition. Rounds 9 and 10 are faster, and chances are very good that France will copy Airspeed's unique record.

Sinapsi continued with the upswing round by round and shook off both Russian teams in Round 8. Black Cat and Skylight Barkli both had bad rounds at the same time. Sinapsi is now safely in bronze medal position and is putting pressure on Hayabusa Defence. Sinapsi has won the last four rounds by one point, and both teams had 19-pointers in Round 8. Four points separate Belgium and Italy at the moment.

All Open Class teams combined for a total of eleven penalties in Round 8 (Skylight Barkli -3, Black Cat -2, Aerokart Pamiers Maubeuge -1, Magic 4 -1, Bad Boys -1, Portugal -1, Turkey -1, Cypres -1).

German Fans in Prostejov
The German team FSC Eisenach-Paratec has finally come back to the performance level of the German Nationals 2009. The German national 4-way team performed well below expectations throughout the first four rounds and has now turned into a different team.

The 8th place is the highest realistic goal for Germany in this competition. Kaktus Hunter and Crossroads have been battling for this position round by round so far.

The NSL News has uploaded Round 7 and 8 of the Top 4 teams, thanks to CamScore for the footage.

There was also a break between the end of the 4-way competition after Round 8 and the start of today's 8-way competition. The NSL News invited the French delegation for a new round of NSL Talk.

National coach Jerome David, 4-way coach Marin Ferre, 4-way team captain Sophie Deremaux, 8-way team captain Clement Martin St. Leon and 4-way and 8-way competitor Mathieu Bernier accepted the invitation. The video of this conversation will be uploaded later.
