... that Koloncok stands for a cow bell on the coach's neck?

Coming soon: HF Junior Blue vacation in Bedford
posted Feb 22nd, 2017 - The latest update of the field for the World Challenge 2017 has turned especially the power rankings in the AA and Rookie categories into a very international affair.

The currently registered seven teams in the AA Class are from six different countries, even though none of the many UK teams have signed up yet.

Zero from Italy has competed at the ISR Grand Prix three times, stepped up from the A Class to AA in November last year and now travel to Bedford for the first time.

The HF Junior Cubs are new on the top of the power rankings, as well, even though it was only a matter of time when Czech 4-way godfather Jan Klapka would register his 4-way teams.

The HF Junior Flies compete in the same category, while HF Junior Blue gets their first 4-way vacation in Bedford in the Rookie Class. The Cubs and Flies visited Bedford already last year for the first time, both for the A Class competition.

Funny team name: Koloncok - Cow Bells
HF Skycentrum competed for the Czech delegation in the AA Class at last year's World Challenge. They stepped up into the AAA Class at the Flyspot Open in September last year and now join HF Flying Circus on the AAA Class leaderboard.

The Czech 4-way shooting stars won the Rookie Class competition at the World Challenge 2015 and skipped last year's event. Then they won the AA Class competition at the ISR Grand Prix 2016 and now attend their first big meet in the most demanding category.

Ballista from Ireland posted exactly the same 11.7 averages in 2015 and 2016. Only Koloncok from Hungary is new in the current AA Class field.

Team captain Janos Sallai said that the World Challenge will be the team's first international competition, even though the team has been together for a few years. He explained that "Koloncok" means cowbells.

His team apparently wants to make some noise in the AA Class, even though he said that the team name originally came from a "cow bell on our coach's neck..."

New NFTO lineup for the 2017 season
Reunited has not moved up into the AAA Class. The Norwegian team continues in the A Class at their first World Challenge after posting scores in the same category two times on home turf in Voss. They join the Olczyk family from Poland on the A Class leaderboard.

The seven teams in the Rookie Class are also coming from six different countries, and one British team so far will try to defend the home turf.

Last and not least, the AAA Class power rankings have changed, as well. Tenanine's lineup with Moulay Abbas from Mauritania and three French world class competitors is coming back to Bedford for the team's third World Challenge, after posting a 21.0 average at the Wind Games this month. NFTO has joined Volition in 4-way Women for the next British showdown. NFTO has a new lineup, and the Sun Path Products NSL News will follow up soon.
