Did You Know...

... that there is enough new NSL-TV footage to cover the time of the NSL News trip to Russia?

posted Jun 28th, 2005 - The NSL-TV page has grown significantly in the last two days. The updates began with the coverage of the last Florida Skydiving League competition at Skydive City on the June 18 meet weekend. Round one was the fastest sequence of the NSL 2005 season with random formations only (N-C-Q-E-D) for all competition classes.
Fastrax Round 1
Fastrax of the Mideast Skydiving League posted the highest score of this round with 35 points. The NSL News story on June 23 covered the whole Fastrax performance that weekend and offered additional insights. The 35-pointer can now be viewed on NSL-TV, as well.

Six teams scored in the 20's in the same round. Teiwa-Z-Hills Pink (26) and Team Z-Hills (24) are also currently featured with their fastest rounds on NSL-TV. The Dutch team Punky Fish (25), Dallas Thunder (23), Evolution from Canada (20) and R-Fource from the Netherlands (20) were next in the rankings for round one in the AAA Class.

Teiwa-Z-Hills Pink's Round 1
The sequence for the AA Class consisted of the first four random formations (N-C-Q-E). Three teams of the Mideast Skydiving League (Soylent Greene, Jamba, Vortex) can be viewed on NSL-TV, together with three teams of the Florida Skydiving League (FSC Wind Damaged, Z-Hills CTRL-Z, Geronimo).

The highest AA Class score came from the MidAtlantic Skydiving League where team Cross Keys posted 14 points for round one. Fast Forward of the Northern Plains Skydiving League and FSC Wind Damaged were tied in second place for the same sequence of random formations with 12 points.

Soylent Greene's Round 1
The highest A Class scores on June 18 were posted in the Midwest Skydiving League and in the United Kingdom for the 3-point sequence (N-C-Q). The Skydive Chicago Furies and Damn Zebra both finished with 13 points within working time. The sequence of this round is featured by Zero Tolerance Miami.
Zero Tolerance Miami's Round 1
Black Magick of the Florida Skydiving League did not make it to the top of the A Class leaderboard. However, the video of the 4-way world upside down has been one of the most popular showings on NSL-TV ever since it was posted yesterday. Thomas Hughes (Outside Center), Joey Jones (Inside Center), Juliana Se (Tail), Joel Tambor (Point) ended up in 14th position with the score of five points, but the team and the watching crowd had already a great time at the first of six unique 4-way jumps in Zephyrhills.

Fourway Fourplay of the Mideast Skydiving League posted the highest score of the 13 teams in the Rookie Class that weekend. The team's 8-pointer was three points ahead of the next Rookie Class team for the 3-point sequence (B-N-C) in round one. The jump can also be viewed on NSL-TV.
Fourway Fourplay's Round 1
The latest NSL-TV update covers the May meet of the Southwest Skydiving League. The videos are late, however, they still show several SSL teams that had not been featured at earlier meets this year.

The sequence for round one of the SSL May meet was identical for AAA and AA Class (L-D-M-22), and the scores were pretty much in order from the top of the AAA Class to the bottom of the AA Class. The edge between the bottom of the AAA Class and the top of the AA Class was still very close. AAA class teams Elsinore Gravity, Perris Katalyst and Perris Element posted 14 points in time, while AA Class team Arizona Divewerkz finished this round with 13 points, followed by Elsinore Alloy with 12 points.

Perris Fury's Round 1
Perris Fury with Dan BC (Inside Center), Christy Frikken (Outside Center), Josh Hall (Point), Uli Steuwe (Tail) and Karen Lewis (Video) dominated the AAA Class competition in Elsinore and finished the first round with 18 points in time. Fury completed the 6-round meet with an 18.0 average.

The Aerofiles with Chris Luff (Inside Center), Eric Luff (Tail), Joe Maso (Point), Suzanne Watson (Outside Center) and Chris G. on video won the A Class competition in this round with five points and finished the SSL May meet with a 3.7 average. The Aerofiles are featured with the A Class sequence.

Elsinore Equinox's Round 1
The May meet of the Southwest Skydiving League has already been passed by the SSL June meet. Last weekend's SSL scores have now been posted, and the whole information coming from the west coast indicates a record weekend in Perris. 18 teams competed in three competition classes, and the scores are very impressive.
Aerofiles' Round 1
The NSL News will follow up with the SSL meet story, pictures and meet videos very soon. Fact is that Perris Fury once again dominated the AAA Class competition on home turf and continued with the steep progression (16.0 - 18.0 - 19.2) after three meets. Last weekend's overall leaderboard shows Fury in second place out of 40 AAA Class teams. Only the Belgian national team Spa Hayabusa scored higher in the first two rounds. Arizona Divewerkz took the first place of ten teams in the AA Class.

The NSL News will now take a short break, which is needed for the travel time to Russia. Stay tuned, the usual NSL News operation will be resumed right after arrival at the competition site of the Malevsky Memorial Cup 2005. There are enough new competition jumps on NSL-TV for the meantime.
