Did You Know...

... that Craig Girard explained the Dubai Asaar situation on Sunday morning?

Accuracy competition early in the morning
posted Dec 1st, 2013 - Sunday at the 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2013 was scheduled for the 4way competition. Three more rounds will be completed today. However, the first Sunday update goes back to the 8way competition, as the Sun Path Products NSL News had the opportunity to speak with Craig Girard for a few minutes early in the morning.

The 4way teams had to show up later in the morning, as the quiet hours of the early morning is the time when the Accuracy event takes place at the dropzone. Craig Girard is the first one in the morning to open the team rooms for the Dubai delegation at Tent City, and he also attends the day's planning meeting before the Asaar teams arrive.

The live interview with Craig Girard took place at the Accuracy landing area while the competition was in full swing.

Dubai Asaar 's 8way lineup in 2012
The Sun Path Products NSL News mentioned yesterday that Craig Girard was back in the active 8way lineup for a very unfortunate reason. Dubai Asaar's 8way team was finally competing without him or Eliana Rodriguez at the World Cup 2013 and at the USPA Nationals 2013. The 8way lineup had matured enough under their guidance and was ready to compete with a complete lineup of original Emiratees.

Craig Girard explained that a tragic motorcycle accident right after coming back home to Dubai from the USPA Nationals changed the plans. Abdulla Bin Shahar, a 3-year member of the Dubai team project, lost his life in the accident.

The Dubai delegation decided to continue with the team plans to honor their team mate with the best performance they could deliver. Craig Girard was back in to fill the open slot, and Dubai Asaar has been performing better than ever so far.
