Did You Know...

... that the Hawks posted a new team record average with the 2011 lineup?

First Hawks lineup with Steve Lefkowitz in 2010
posted Jun 30th, 2013 - The Sun Path Products NSL News is still catching up with the previous meet weekend, while new scores of this weekend's meets have been posted on the leaderboard.

SDC Rhythm XP's management of the Midwest Skydiving League meets included providing videos of the competition jumps, and the visual review of the second MWSL meet this year begins with the AA Class battle on the top of the leaderboard between Jetstream Tango and Hawks.

The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on 28 June 2013 how both teams finished in the two top spots of the AA Class overall leaderboard and provided additional information of the winning team, Jetstream Tango. The modified leaderboard below shows that it really was a close battle and how the runner up won or tied four of the ten rounds that both teams completed.

Hawks at the USPA Nationals 2011
The Hawks have been in the same battle with Jetstream Tango for three years now. Steve Lefkowitz, now player coach for Jetstream Tango, introduced the first Hawks lineup (Michael Sepcot - Center Inside, Stephanie Erickson - Point, Reza Biazarian - Tail, with Larry Miyasaka on camera) to 4way competition in the A Class at the last meet of the MWSL 2010 season, where Jetstream Tango competed in the AA Class at the same time.

Both teams then came back for the AA Class competition of 2011, and the Hawks had replaced Steve Lefkowitz with Mike Vagher in the Center Outside slot. The Hawks outscored Jetstream Tango by four points (36 - 32) after the five rounds that both teams completed in September 2011.

Jetstream Tango then turned the table when both teams faced each other again at the USPA Nationals 2011 (70 - 66) a month later.

Hawks in action
The Hawks came back with the same lineup in 2012 and only needed Chuck Finley once to fill in for Reza Biazara at the August meet, which would turn out to be the only showdown with Jetstream Tango at MWSL meets last year. The Hawks benefitted from Jetstream Tango's 0-pointer in Round 1 and won this competition.

The Hawks then traveled to Eloy for the USPA Nationals 2012 without their MWSL rivals and finished with a 7.7 average in 15th place of 29 teams to finish off the 2012 season.

The original Hawks 2011 lineup then made plans for this year and launched the team's new competition season with a new record average of 9.7 after ten rounds. Jetstream Tango was a few points ahead with their player coach Steve Lefkowitz. However, the Hawks could take back the upper hand when it comes to the USPA Nationals this year and Steve Lefkowitz has to go back to his Point slot for SDC Rhythm XP...
