Did You Know...

... that VAF Warriors turned the table at the second Danish showdown with Airplay this year?

VAF Warriors at the World Challenge 2013
posted May 12th, 2013 - Denmark's annual season opener, the DFU Cup, brought six teams together this weekend under challenging weather conditions.

The event is usually a 10-round competition. Teams and meet management were struggling this year to complete six rounds in the AAA Class and five rounds in the A Class.

The challenging weather did not keep two teams in the AAA Class from continuing a battle for Denmark's top position in this category. VAF Warriors and Airplay used each of the six rounds trying to outscore each other after the first internal Danish battle at the World Challenge 2013.

The NSL News provided an overview of the 4way situation in Denmark with the story on 12 March 2013. The three featured teams all competed at the DFU Cup where the new project team Aerodyne Steam was not ready yet to keep up with VAF Warriors and Airplay.

The same story was also a preview of the World Challenge 2013 from the Danish perspective. However, VAF Warriors had a trip to Florida on the agenda before the first showdown with Airplay would take place at Bodyflight Bedford.

VAF Warriors competed only with three members at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2013, and the story on 2 April 2013 covered the 4way battle of the Danish team with China in DeLand.

The internal Danish battle was next at the World Challenge, and Airplay had the upper hand in Bedford. Both teams were separated by only one other team, which was also mentioned earlier in the preview. International Relations's lineup included another competitor from Denmark, Henrik Sternberg.

The DFU Cup was the third meet this year for VAF Warriors, and the team turned the table at this weekend's outdoor showdown with Airplay.

It was a very close call though, and VAF Warriors got some serious help from Airplay. Only the devastating 6-point deduction in Round 3 put Airplay too far behind. Both teams actually completed the same number of points in working time over the whole meet. However, the judges have the final word, and VAF Warriors had the advantage at the first meet in Denmark this year.
