Did You Know...

... that seven teams braved the weather in Florida?

Exploring options: Chaos at iFLY Orlando
posted Apr 22nd, 2013 - Bad weather interfered with the outdoor season openers both in North Carolina and Florida. However, six teams beat the challenging weather conditions at Skydive City to complete up to four rounds, while teams at Skydive DeLand had no luck on Saturday and not much more on Sunday.

Most of the lineups in Florida consisted of skydivers who have attended the FSL Tunnel Kicker indoor project at iFLY Orlando, which was launched in July 2012. The next tunnel event is scheduled for tonight and will compensate for the efforts to brave the weather last weekend.

Bob Byrne was organizing the competition at Skydive City and helping the teams with coaching and engineering. He reported that the meet was delayed and eventually cut short by inclement weather.

2nd year in the A Class for Zunday
The local teams Pyro4ic and Zunday continue this year with the same lineups as in 2012. Jon Agar and Keith Murray switched Center Outside and Tail slots for A Class team Zunday, and the results of this move and the indoor training in the winter were showing right away. Zunday's best average last year was 7.7 in September, and the Z-Hills team started the 2013 season with an 11.0 average.

The same counts for Rookie Class team Pyro4ic. The members met each other at iFLY Orlando and formed the team last year. The highest meet average was 4.8 in September, and the same lineup now launched the 2013 season with a 7.7 average last weekend.

New AA Class team Chaos is made up of three former members of FSC Wind Damaged (Gilles Dutrisac, Joel Kmetz, Martin McKerrell). They added Tunnel Kicker participant James Hall to the lineup and explore the possibility of continuing this year.
