Did You Know...

... that Thunder now has to defend titles at the ESL Championship and the ISR Grand Prix?

Secret Belgian 8way training in Prostejov...
posted Sep 1st, 2012 - Much has been said about the NMP-PCH Hayabusa and the Thunder performance at the World Cup 2012, and it will not end for a while. Both teams provided more than enough footage and topics to keep the NSL News busy for a while.

The aftermath begins with the videos of all Hayabusa and Thunder competition rounds in Prostejov. NSL-TV had featured five Hayabusa rounds during the live coverage from Protejov earlier, including both videos of Round 5, and also Thunder's Round 1 and Round 4. The new videos cover the complete meet of both teams.

The NSL News also met with both teams after the conclusion of the meet to discuss several different topics. The video clip of this NSL Talk session will be processed and uploaded very soon. Both teams also joined for two fun jumps after the judging of the last competition round. The video has been kept secret so far, and the NSL News will hopefully also follow up soon with evidence of secret preparations for a new Belgian 8way team...

ESL Spirit winner: Belgium
The Belgian 4way duo does not get much of a break and moves straight to Moorsele after a quick stop at home. The ESL Championship 2012 is on both team's agenda this weekend, and it takes place on Belgian home turf in Moorsele. It is no big surprise that the voting audience of the ESL Poll expects Belgium to win the ESL Spirit this year with such a head start.

The ESL Championship 2012 is Thunder's 6th competition this year, Hayabusa's 5th, and both teams will still not be done. NMP-PCH Hayabusa has the trip to Dubai on the agenda, while Thunder will try to defend the indoor title at the ISR Grand Prix 2012.

This year, the annual event is scheduled for November 24th at Indoor Skydive Roosendaal, and Thunder is the reigning champion after a 25.6 average victory in 2011. Thunder also competed in Roosendaal in 2010 when Hayabusa took the first place with a 32.9 average after seven rounds.

Winner at the ISR Grand Prix 2011: Thunder
The event is open for all teams and now offers the four NSL competition classes (AAA - AA - A - Rookie). 41 teams from different European countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands) competed at the 2011 event.

ISR and event manager Robert Ros reported in July that more than ten teams were registered by then, which is an early start. The first team names included Thunder, 4X, Whooops and Cool Runnings in the AAA Class. Cunning Stunts, 4igami and Teriyaki had signed up for the AA Class competition and four more teams in the A Class and the Rookie Class.

The NSL News will update the field of teams when the event is coming closer. Registration is open, and information can be found on the event's Facebook pages.
