News Article Did you know that several participants in the Northwest had their best skydiving day ever?
posted: Jun 23rd, 2014 Summer in the Northwest doesn't officially start until after July 4, so it is a very rare situation when a scheduled June meet actually happens. The last time it happened was in 2005. This year was a wonderful surprise when Northwest Skydiving League teams and competitors woke up to clear, blue skies, no fog, and pleasant temperatures. The first load was on the plane at 9am, and every team was easily able to complete six rounds, with JOES completing eight. Skydive Snohomish has two landing areas, and the one for less experienced jumpers requires a bus ride back. JOES are able to land directly at... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Indoor Cloud League leaderboard is changing quickly and frequently?
posted: Jun 2nd, 2014 Things change quickly on the Indoor Cloud League leaderboard, especially at the time of the turn of the month. The Florida Skydiving League competitors just went back to iFLY Orlando on May 28th to improve their May scores for the last time, and they took the current top position for the six May sequences. However, it was only a day later when Deb Correia's Northwest Skydiving League group submitted their scores for the last month. Jan Klapka of the Czech Skydiving League group at the Skydive Arena in Prague had just congratulated the Florida Skydiving League for their May victory when the... (more)
News Article Did you know that NWSL team Synergy followed up with impressive outdoor scores?
posted: Sep 10th, 2013 Team Synergy of the Northwest Skydiving League caught the Sun Path Products NSL News attention several times this year, and impressive news keep coming from the Northwest Skydiving League. The last time was after the Indoor Cloud League scores for the month of August were complete, and Synergy had posted a very impressive 29-pointer for the AA Class sequence. Deb Correia reported after the the last indoor session at iFLY Seattle that she had NWSL team Synergy posting scores for her group and 11 participants on August 28, including three who were brandnew to the Indoor Cloud League event: Guy... News Article Did you know that the Joes are not sloppy any longer?
posted: Jul 31st, 2013 The A Class was the only category last weekend that had a complete 6-round overall leaderboard. Teams of the Northwest Skydiving League and in the Czech Republic took advantage of a faster competition draw, which included three sequences with only random formations, and posted new record averages for the year. Even Czech team Zoonte, 4-time winner on previous A Class overall leaderboards, was finally tired of the 11.0 average and posted a season high 12.5 average last weekend. It was Zoonte's 5th outdoor competition of the 2013 season with the 5th top position on the overall leaderboard. The... (more)
News Article Did you know that any completed meet is a good meet in the Northwest?
posted: Jul 9th, 2013 Three smaller meets last weekend combined for the latest overall leaderboard. Only the A Class competition brought teams from different locations (Northwest, Canada) together this time. Two teams from Virginia were alone in the AA Class, and the Yeah Team had the Rookie Class for themselves. However, the A Class competition featured an interesting mix of teams from the Northwest Skydiving League and Canada. The competition between Fun Sponge and BLD alone could not have been any more exciting, as both teams finished tied in 2nd place after six rounds and only a few points behind Canada's A Class... News Article Did you know that Sinner G contributed heavily to the Northwest scores for the Indoor Cloud League?
posted: Jul 6th, 2013 The Indoor Cloud League competition for the month of June is over, and Florida at iFLY Orlando won the 4th time in the six months so far this year. It was a very close call though. Deb Correia's Northwest group at iFLY Seattle could have matched the FL score or outscored it without missing the points for the AAA Class. Florida was 17 points ahead with scores for all six categories, while the Northwest did not have a AAA Class lineup available last month. A 17-pointer was surely not out of reach, as the other AAA Class scores from SkyVenture New Hampshire and Sportflight in Prague are showing. June... (more)
