posted Dec 9th, 2015 - The 8-way and 4-way VFS teams are in full competition swing at the World Air Games 2015 and are catching up after the two weather days.

The 8-way teams had their special Round 2, where a sequence of five random formations (F,L,B,G,P) would offer (or not...) a world record opportunity, as Chris Talbert predicted earlier:

"Random work in 8–way can be as sensitive as razor burn, and this jump will absolutely require the best each team has to collectively offer. Because I am writing this and you are reading this, you get to hear my prediction. My money is on Kurt Isenbarger and Sean Sweeny to manage the keys and give their team mates the rhythm this jumps demands."

Well, Chris Talbert won his money, as the Golden Knights posted a new world record in Round 2.

It seems like the quality of 8-way performance has brought the 8-way teams to the same situation that the 4-way teams have seen for many years. A world record opportunity comes with a Super Sequence of random formations.

Clash of Champions event coordinator Pete Allum came up with the idea of adding an extra round to the 4-way competition at Inflight Dubai. He called it the 4-way Speed Battle, and only the Top 10 teams after the completion of the 10-round competition were invited to perform the Super Sequence.

NSL-TV now follows up with the videos of this special round, which did not count for the leaderboard of the 10-round 4-way competition, even though the videos of the Speed Battle appeared as Round 1 on the host's website.

It was once again interesting to see what kind of an impact a Super Sequence can have if it is naturally drawn for a 4-way competition.

The leaderboard of the Speed Battle looked very different compared to the 10-round meet. Only three of the Top 10 teams ended up in the same slots on both leaderboards, including NMP PCH Hayabusa who won both events.

Russia's national team Black Cat moved up more than all other teams, from 9th to 2nd place, where they tied Weembi Lille with their 59-pointer. Only one team made it through the 35 seconds without any infringements: Evolution. Canada’s national team in 4-way Open and 4-way VFS is also currently in 1st place on the 4-way VFS leaderboard...
