posted Sep 10th, 2015 - Mike Pennock's plan worked out perfectly for the third day of the FAI World Cup 2015, and the Formation Skydiving competition teams are exactly at the point where they were expected to be at the end of the day. That's according to the number of competition jumps, not necessarily according to the expected rankings and scoring levels...

It is somehow surprising that the Qatar Tigers are ahead of M8trix in the 8-way competition. Gary Smith, Chris Talbert and Joey Jones discussed the player/coaching conflict situation earlier during the NSL Talk. Gary Smith competes with M8trix and coaches the Qatar Tigers.

The second NSL Talk conversation today brought members of the French delegation to the microphone.

Coaching: Mathieu Bernier with French Girls
Mathieu Bernier is the new French national coach. He is the only Formation Skydiving competitor in the history of the sport who won gold medals in 4-way and 8-way at the same world meet (Menzelinsk 2010). The other two guests, Damien Sorlin and Julien Olek, were his 8-way team mates in 2010.

Mathieu Bernier is generally happy with the French performance in all events. He has a good reason, as France is currently winning in three events (8-way, 4-way Women, 4-way VFS), and the brand-new 4-way Open Class lineup is in 3rd place with a 21.6 average after Round 8.

Damien Sorlin said that he needed three seconds to respond to Mathieu Bernier's inquiry to join the 8-way lineup. Julien Olek, who was once again mistakenly introduced as his team mate Thomas Perrin Gachadoat, had news about the Fun Flag. The French freeflyers lost it, and it seems to in German hands...
