... that the FAI World Cup 2015 is in full swing?

Stuck in the mud: Jump plane on Monday
posted Sep 8th, 2015 - The FAI World Cup 2015 is now in full swing. Event organizer Mike Pennock ordered all teams in all events to the drop zone on Tuesday morning, as weather and flight regulations would allow meet action at least until noon.

The Cessna Caravans took off at 8 AM, and it was easier this morning to maneuver the jump planes than yesterday, when the wet grass and soil made it much more difficult. In fact, one of the jump planes got stuck in the soft ground for a while.

The plan for the day changed later, and the 4-way and 8-way teams were separated. 4-way competition continued throughout the morning, while the 8-way teams will be called to action in the afternoon. There is only one 8-way team (Qatar Falcons) with no other commitment, and it would be nearly impossible to run 4-way and 8-way competition at the same time.

Full swing on Tuesday morning
The Sun Path Products NSL News went on a short excursion to Tent City in the morning, which is set up very nicely for the teams and competitors. The food for lunch and dinner will be cooked in the center of Tent City and then served at the same place in restaurant-style.

NMP PCH Hayabusa was getting ready for Round 1 preparations when the NSL TV camera arrived at the far corner of Tent City at the wrong time and was sent off. The Hayabusa coverage resumed when the prep work continued in the creeper hangar.

David Grauwels took a few minutes to comment the competition draw from the Hayabusa perspective. He said that the front piece seems to have significantly more work than the rear piece. Memory for the rear piece comes up only once in Round 10...
