Did You Know...

... that iFLY Orlando and SkyVenture Montreal added the last Indoor Cloud League July scores?

iFLY Orlando group on July 2nd
posted Aug 5th, 2015 - The July leaderboard of the Indoor Cloud League is finally complete. SkyVenture Montreal and iFLY Florida submitted the last scores and videos, which created the biggest ICL leaderboard this year.

It is also the first time that scores and videos were submitted from eight different wind tunnels, after the 26-pointer submission by M4trix from the Netherlands.

Florida's ICL group at iFLY Orlando could not get the highest total number of points, as the videos on the second event in July were not judgeable. The Sun Path Products NSL News story on July 22nd had provided the details of the unfortunate situation. A small group of FSL competitors came back again on July 30th and could at least add several points to the previous total of 106.

The camera angle at iFLY Orlando was still critical, and the team had to use the footage of both cameras to make sure that the completed points would count for the leaderboard.

Two scores (RRR - RR) are still standing from the first ICL event at iFLY Orlando on July 2nd, while the team on July 30th improved the scores for the four other categories. Some of the better scores could also not be used after the July 30 event, as the lineups were not eligible for the sequences in lower categories.

DeLand Momentum team mates Hal Spence and James Hall improved their own scores from July 2nd significantly on July 30th. Kurt Gaebel and Bob Byrne were in the first lineup, while Sebastian Jimenez replaced currently injured Bob Byrne at the last event of the month. Sebastian Jimenez is a former Zunday member.

Cathy Luo, former DeLand Aurai member in the Rookie Class, helped to bring the previous 14-pointer in the A Class to the 19-pointer for the ICL leaderboard.

Alison Bawden, Cathy Luo, Mark Messersmith and Sebastian Jimenez scored higher with a 15-pointer for the same sequence, as well. However, Cathy Luo had the stronger lineup for help and won this internal competition. She and her lineup were not eligible for Rookie Class sequences, where another team improved the previous 17-pointer to 19.

It was a colorful combination of new Florida indoor and outdoor competitors (Alison Bawden - Bald and Beautiful, James Hall - DeLand Momentum, Mark Messersmith - ZEUS, Sebastian Jimenez - Zunday) who posted the 19-pointer for the R Class sequence. The August sequences are next...
