Did You Know...

... that the Indoor Cloud League has produced another new outdoor team in the Northwest?

July Indoor Cloud League group at iFLY Seattle
posted Aug 1st, 2015 - As usual, the Indoor Cloud League leaderboard begins to grow towards the end of the month.

There are still scores and videos to come; however, it does not happen very often that the Czech SportFlight team at the Hurricane Factory is only in 3rd place at this point in time. Amanda Lampton with her iFLY Dallas team and Deb Correia with her iFLY Seattle team are currently tied in 1st place. June winner SkyVenture Montreal and iFLY SF Bay have not even added their scores for July yet.

Deb Correia said that she held her Indoor Cloud League event on July 21st, with 12 participants and four player coaches: "The event filled up quickly, and the decision was made for each team to have a single coach, even in the categories that allow for two, in order to allow for greater participation."

Joining the JOES: Andrew Gaiovyi (2nd from right)
All her participants had competed for iFLY Seattle at previous Indoor Cloud League events. However, the growing competitive nature attracts former participants back to the events, and Deb Correia brought up one example: "It's great to see the enthusiasm that this event generates. Andrew Gaiovyi returned after a long absence. He lived in California for a year and has just returned to Seattle."

He will also rejoin the JOES, as player coach Dave Correia steps back to allow the team, who he has coached since they began, to move on to the USPA Nationals.

Once again, there is even more movement between indoor and outdoor activities in the Northwest. Deb Correia said that she has a new team joining the remaining outdoor meets this year: "An exciting turn of events is that Monica Aikins, Jeramy Eggum, Nancy McFadden and coach Jeff Smith have decided to form a team for the remainder of the NWSL season."

AAA and AA: Coaches lineup: Djordje Mandaric, Deb Correia, Dave Correia, David Zhang
Monica Aikins and Jeramy Eggum have flown together at iFLY Seattle quite a bit, with coach Deb Correia and D'Arcy Kaaua. The new team, We Don't Have One, plans to join the A Class, where the Northwest Skydiving League will now have three teams competing with each other.

The complete lineup turned in the 20-pointer in the A Class for iFLY Seattle. Coaches Dave Correia, Deb Correia, Djordje Mandaric and David Zhang added scores for the AAA and AA Class sequences.

Dave Correia was also guiding the RRR Class lineup (Monica Aikins, Steve Platt, Jeramy Eggum) to the 26-pointer, while his wife Deb Correia scored the 19-pointer in the R Class with John Brown, Nat Mote and Jim Stark. Djordje Mandaric added the 24-pointer for the RR Class sequence (Nancy McFadden, Andrew Gaiovyi, Bill Selig), and the 127 points are currently the total for the 1st place.
