Did You Know...

... that Florida improved the Indoor Cloud League scores at iFLY Orlando in vain?

Czech Junior team in action
posted Jul 22nd, 2015 - The Hurricane Factory has taken the lead for the Indoor Cloud League July competition, and the first complete Junior team scored for Jan Klapka's Czech group.

The Sun Path Products NSL News will follow up with more information soon.

In the meantime, a small group of Indoor Cloud League competitors in Florida tried to improve the first scores that a different group had posted on July 2nd at iFLY Orlando.

The leaderboard of the internal competition between the team on July 2nd and the one on July 16th shows that the scores in five of the six categories were higher and would have added 25 points to the iFLY Orlando account.

However, the videos were not properly judgeable, as the camera angle did not support 4-way competition.

Florida group at iFLY Orlando on July 16th
iFLY Orlando is usually filming the tunnel action from different angles, and the view from the top camera was not available when the Indoor Cloud League competitors came together on July 16th.

The camera angle for the level view is always an interesting one and shows the flyers in action in different ways. This angle is helpful for training purposes and often used. However, the same angle does not allow a serious evaluation from the judging perspective, and the scoring numbers are based on the number of formations within working time.

The video clip of all teams and the scores for the competition sequences on July 16th are not considering any penalty situations. They are just a rough outline of what Florida's Indoor Cloud League group was putting together that night at iFLY Orlando, and none of the scores made it to the official ICL leaderboard for July. Florida has scheduled one more ICL event at iFLY Orlando at the end of the month, where the camera's top angle better be available...
