posted Jul 5th, 2015 - The Coupe de France 2015 is complete after the second event in Vannes this weekend, and the French national championships are next in August.

The competition in Vannes featured the French national team in 4-way Women, the French Girls. France is the reigning world champion in this category after capturing the FAI/IPC gold medals for the first time at the World Meet 2010 in Menzelinsk and then successfully defending it two times in 2012 and 2014.

Perrine Sanchez, Laurence Herve, Christine Malnis and Sophia Pecout won the last world meet in Prostejov 2014, with Remy Grandcler on camera. Clementine Le Bohec and Anais Maillet have replaced Perrine Sanchez and Laurence Herve, who is now in the French Open Class lineup. Michel Laynaud is the new team videographer.

The complete new French Girls lineup had not attended any indoor or outdoor competition yet until this weekend, and the 19.9 average is the starting point after the 8-round competition at the Coupe de France event in Vannes.

The French national team in 4-way Women had a great battle with the official French B-Team, Artemis Espoir Saumur. Artemis has Mathieu Bernier in the lineup as a player coach, the only Formation Skydiving competitor in the history of the sport who has won gold medals in 4-way and 8-way at the same world meet, in Menzelinsk 2010. Artemis had impressed with a 25.0 average at the World Challenge 2015 and now followed up with another great 19.6 performance in Vannes.

No national teams are eligible for medals at the Coupe de France, and neither the French Girls nor Artemis could place on the top of the official leaderboard. However, they competed as guest teams and used the event as the first outdoor test of the 2015 season.

Smooteam PCP Maubeuge is the official AAA Class winner of the Coupe de France event, and the team had a world class 4-way player coach in the lineup, as well. Julien Degen is a multiple world champion in 4-way and 8-way, and he will compete together with Mathieu Bernier in the new French national 8-way lineup.

Smooteam also had Nicolas David in the lineup this weekend, who was a member of the previous French 8-way national team. He won a bronze medal for France at the World Meet 2014 in Prostejov.

Ookpik Pamiers won the Coupe de France silver medals and is this year's overall winner after the other 2nd place at the first event in Bouloc. Manu Sarrazin is guiding Ookpik as the player coach. He is also a member of the new French national 8-way team for 2016 and a member of the "4-way Indoor Elite Club" on the highest 27-pointer level, together with Mathieu Bernier and Julien Degen. Monaco Vitalsea finished in 2nd place of the Coupe de France 2015, and Coyotes Maugio JCM won this year's bronze medals.
