Did You Know...

... that the Golden Knights had a clear message on Saturday at the World Challenge?

Fast pace in the morning: Golden Knights with coach Solly Williams
posted Jun 10th, 2015 - There is still video footage that was recorded at the World Challenge 2015 and has not received attention by the Sun Path Products NSL News yet.

Now it is time to review a few clips that feature the Golden Knights. The first one was recorded live when the US Army team came out of the flying chamber after completing Round 2, shortly after the two French Girls had posted a 20-pointer with Weembi Lille. The Golden Knights said that they did not have the time to watch the team with two of their opponents in 4-way Women, as the turnaround time from round to round was quite fast.

The Golden Knights won Round 2 over Weembi Lille, even after two point deductions, and they were only one point behind at this point in time. The Golden Knights had lost two more points in the meet opener Round 1.

More time in the afternoon
The second clip was recorded by the World Challenge TV team when the first day was over for the AAA Class teams. Entertainer Ged Parker caught the Golden Knights in the Flow House on Friday afternoon when they were taking a break between competition, debriefing and preparations for the second half of the meet.

Later the same afternoon, the Golden Knights also accepted an invitation by the Sun Path Products NSL News for a live NSL Talk in the World Challenge TV studio. They said that they liked the new format, which has a faster pace for the AAA Class teams in the morning and completes the first five rounds earlier. All other teams (AA - A - Rookie) are off in the morning and have their turn in the afternoon.

The Golden Knights said that they can use the afternoon time much more efficiently, for debriefing, relaxation, exercising and even education and home work for school projects. Dannielle Woosley and Angela Nichols are currently studying for their career after the military services.

The Golden Knights had two significantly different meet days. They mentioned that the faster pace they have been using was costly in the first five rounds. They lost five points, and most of them were caused by mistakes due to the faster pace. They finished in 7th place, five points behind SportLoto at the end of the first half of the meet.

The second day was showing a different team. The Golden Knights had only one point deduction in the second five rounds and eventually left Thunder and SportLoto easily behind, finishing in 5th place. They had also reduced the distance to the French Girls with Weembi Lille from six points throughout the first five rounds to nothing in the second half. Both teams tied their totals for Rounds 6 - 10.

Even SDC Rhythm XP, Arizona Airspeed's challenger this year, was not too far away.

The Golden Knights allowed Rhythm a distance of only two points throughout the five rounds on Saturday. The message of the US Army team was loud and clear on Saturday: Watch out, French Girls and everybody else...
