Did You Know...

... that Evolution continues with exactly the same lineup in 4-way FS and VFS?

Complete Evolution lineup at the 5th DIPC 2014
posted May 6th, 2015 - The last Sun Path Products NSL News update related to the Canadian 4-way bronze medalist at the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014, Evolution, was posted on January 24th.

The story compared the world's strongest three 4-way teams after the scores at the 5th Dubai International Parachuting Championship 2014 and the Wind Games 2015. Conclusion was that Evolution held the world's top spot at that point in time.

Several other indoor and outdoor events have happened in the meantime, including the 3rd Canadian Indoor Skydiving Championship 2015, and the team name Evolution was not on any of the leaderboards. It has been very quiet about the Evolution future.

Evolution's VFS 4-way lineup at the World Meet 2014
Inside Center Martin Lemay now updated the Sun Path Products NSL News with the latest developments. Evolution has been trying to secure the funding for the next two years and continues with this difficult task. Training plan and efforts depend on each team's budget, and the Canadians are in the same situation.

However, there were other significant changes that have a direct impact on Evolution's near future. The lineup is changing.

Point Katie Woods will not continue with the Canadian national 4-way team, and the three Lemay brothers (Martin - Inside Center, Vincent - Outside Center, Benoit - Tail) will have a new team member - who is actually not so new. Their VFS 4-way team mate Jean Christophe Oumet will take the Point slot.

JC Oumet watches Evolution's FS 4-way dirtdive
JC Oumet is not only a reigning bronze medal winner in VFS 4-way with Evolution. He also knows 4-way Formation Skydiving competition very well after filming the team for years. In fact, he won his own two bronze medals in Prostejov, just as well as the three Lemay brothers.

He would not be the first videographer who switches successfully to move in front of the camera. Larry Miller was filming the Golden Knights before he won his two 8-way gold medals in 2012 and 2014. Will Pesek was filming Arizona Airspeed and then joined the Paraclete XP4 and XP8 lineup.

JC Oumet is also getting the best help he can get. Katie Woods is now working with him to forward all the tricks of the Point slot to him.

It is a lot of new information, including the whole front piece work. However, the VFS 4-way competition experiences will be a good foundation. Katie Woods and JC Oumet have approx. three months to get ready for the Canadian Nationals 2015, where Evolution will compete with exactly the same lineup in both 4-way events...
